Reviving Ananiel - Details (Patreon)

I like to spend a while with each painting if I can afford it. It gives me time to explore a few extra options and also lets me stumble across new inspiration.

As I spent some time with this one, instead of just polishing it up as is, I decided to play around with a few subtle elements of the composition. The waves ended up taking a really different shape at this step and I feel like I wouldn't have done that if I hadn't gotten a few days away from it.

The main drawback to spending a few days away from any painting is the deadline. I started to get really worried this was going to go right up to the last day of the month but it all worked out in the end. There was just enough time to get all the reward content formatted and test prints run. The final art, should be popping up on Patreon right about now.
