Scorpio - Color Phase (Patreon)

In my mind as I was drawing this one, I was just seeing it in black, white and gold. While I will be making a version like that for the playmats and maybe a special LE down the line, I needed this piece to have some color.

The lack of expectation coming into the color phase is always scary, but it's also something I look forward to. I want to be surprised by my own work because it keeps me from feeling like I'm repeating myself too much. This piece has surprised me a couple of times and it's making me like it a lot personally. While that's never an indicator that other people will like it, that doesn't matter. To someone out there, this will be their favorite piece in the series and that's more important than having this piece be widely popular.
