Today I came to share some information about the process of creation, organization and population management of OldSunset.

It made sense from the beginning that each Sim would have a completely unique personality that would make them special and different.

Another important factor was to use the widest possible variety of lasting desires, to make the players' gameplay more dynamic. But, we were going beyond!

To ensure that it all worked together and there was a huge variety of skin tones, hair color, eye color, traits, desires, signs, colors, favorite music and foods, as well as body shapes, I created a spreadsheet to catalog everything that:

I know, it must be small in the visualization, don't worry, soon you will have access to it. This is where I add all the basic information about the OldSunset Sims and make sure that parents and children share common traits and traits.

After all, children must inherit traits from their parents, and their desires must reflect the experience they had throughout growing up.

For example: It made sense that Santiago would be a free spirit, looking for love, with exceptional culinary skills, when his mother was a born cook, sycophant like nobody else and his father was a friend of the neighborhood, romantic and with a good sense of humor.

The day-to-day family life made him flirtatious, but he did his best to ensure that he didn't have much interest in establishing a commitment with other sims, after all, only he knows the firm rein that his father guided the relationship with a closed hand, while his mother was a pidon.

Anything to be free and not need to control or be controlled by anyone! Now, relationships are full of ups and downs and that doesn't mean his parents weren't happy, on the contrary. They are an exceptionally happy couple, in their own way.

Taking all this into account, I thought: How can I make each of them interesting enough that players want to play with these sims?

This is where the narrative comes in!

Each Sim has a unique story and they all have a common story. See this example (subject to change):

Eleanor Sinclair: "Amidst the relentless monotony of life, Eleanor finds herself caught in an endless cycle. Like a fish out of water, her clumsy nature puts her in awkward and frustrating situations. Every day is a battle with apathy and depression. An overwhelming sense of insignificance. The routine of fishing becomes a constant reminder of her limitation and the cruelty of fate. While the world around her seems to crumble in disgrace, she remains immersed in a sea of challenges and difficulties. Yet, there is something intriguing in this harrowing existence. Does fate prepare unforeseen twists? Will she find a way to overcome her adversities?"

This is Eleanor, an outdoorsy, awkward, disciplined, fisherman and loner who was completely influenced by her adoptive father, but who has more than what we're seeing on the surface. By checking the father's story, you can understand some characteristics of the daughter:

"Adalberto, an adoptive father with a bold heart and free soul. His passion for harvesting what nature has to offer and his experience as a sailor make him a charming presence in Eleanor's life. Super-emotional and vegetarian, he transmits his sensitivity to the daughter, building a quiet and peaceful home. With discipline rooted in his former life as a teacher and master of martial arts, Adalberto finds balance by the ocean, where he aspires to peace and tranquility. However, will Adalberto be disappointed with his daughter's future or will he remain well with your departure?"

In short, every Sim in OldSunset has a story and every little trait takes into account who they are, where they are, when they are and most of all, where they are going. No skills will be randomly added. Just as every tree has its place in OldSunset, every skill, relationship, merit, and reward will have its meaning. Now, interweaving all this is not an easy task, but it is simpler than it seems (it just takes some work, it's part of it).

I found a way to host these Sims in a way that they keep all these resources (outside of the saves) and that's probably how I'll share them with you in that initial moment. Remembering: In this part of the process, each of these Sims will have their individual core, and all will be reunited in the final step, where family tree will be established, cores will be merged/divided to reflect the story and the magic will happen. Throughout this process, when everyone has a defined lot to live in, we will finalize/modify those lots to reflect those Sims' personalities. It will be a long job, but we will be in this together! Thanks for reading this post. I hope I was able to express the attention and care I'm giving this project, the way we really deserve it! <3

Thank you for your patience, support and understanding. You are amazing!
