while higher level demons appear more human.

Demons gain power by eating human souls, typically they hunt ghosts, but they also hunt humans with high spiritual abilities.

demons have ranks, there a tons of basic demons, demons who have eaten over 300 souls become cavalcade, they can use abilities normal demons can not, they have more of a conscience mind, while normal demons would have a hard time overpowering/killing a spirit warrior, cavalcade have been known to hunt spirit warriors.

the final form are Juggernauts, they have basic human bodies and there are extremely few of them.
