On crunchyroll I remembered a lot of people complained about this arc with Mizore Yoroizuka and Nozomi Kasaki because they couldn't understand what the problem was. They would say that Nozomi should just suit herself for quitting. She should just have stayed and suffered it. However, I think that is something that is very easy to say, but much harder to do when you are there, especially if you have a deep seated sense of right and wrong. She felt that by staying she was condoning the third years behavior and she and many others decided to leave in protest to show to them and everybody else that what they were doing was not okay. I think that is strong and right, they followed their heart instead of tolerating corruption and nepotism. Now that those people have graduated, Nozomi want to join again, after all she never stopped loving playing music. She just couldn't tolerate those third years degrading her experience of it. I think it is a bit unfair to just say that Nozomi just shouldn't have left to begin with. She had very good reasons for leaving, but most people never seem to reflect on why she left, only that she did. She left to protest the fact that they were being treated unfairly, I don't think it is right to throw in her face "you shouldn't have left to begin with" when she wants to join again. I think once one sees the spin-off sequel movie "Liz and the Blue Bird", this is better understood.
