No drinking in an episode about a show about drinking is crazy.

We used PSI vs Bars when I used to dive, our aluminum tanks (yes we sometimes had old steel tanks but we got rid of them fast) usually when full they are at about 3000 psi or about 206 bars. You had to start your ascend at around 1000 psi so you have enough for a slow ascend. However once you are more experienced and depending on depth you can take it closer ( this is not a recommendation just my experience) For example if I’m doing a 40 ft dive and there are no fast current on a well known area I took it down to 500 psi or about 40 bars before ascending. We also had a trick. When opening the tank valve all the way, then we close it down one turn so later in the dive if we are about to run out of air (heavy sucking on your regulator). We can open the rest and that lets you breath normal again on the way up. Not sure if everyone gets that trick now. I have to admit the lowest pressure I remember having left in the tank after a dive was about 150 psi or like 10 bars way way way in the red, but it was a shallow dive. I have ascended from that depth without a tank (part of the advance training) so I had no worries. I miss those days, I’m retired, old and with medical problems so I haven’t gone diving in years. My favorite place to dive was in Puerto Rico south coast near “Caja de Muertos”and near “La Mona” on the west side between PR and Dominican Republic. But I also dove Italy, Guam, Hawaii, Saipan, Florida, Corsica (France) in my time working for the Navy.
