Summer Fun! (Finished) and lil' personal update (Patreon)
Content
A super fun commission funded by the awesome Hexibyte of the gals getting soaked at a park somewhere! I got so inspired by the scenario that a follow-up piece is in the works :D
Here's a bit of an update for you as well: Had to take a real break to think and see what was I failing, why drawing was feeling tedious and why I was getting more and more stuck and art blocked. I was drawing slower and slower by the minute and that was very depressing and sad. After some analysis, I came to the conclusion that I had to relearn the basics and then some other stuff (How to make characters interact, how to use references efficiently, where can I get them from, and some perspective and environment design). And that was really the problem! I feel real good after taking some classes to improve on my drawing process, which it was getting on the way of solely being creative. Drawing and being creative is not the same! These are two different phases of the art process that work together. And if one's failing, the other suffers greatly. I'm happy that now, after a session of drawing, I look up at the clock and I've drawn a lot in three hours rather than a sketch or two in six or seven hours. Not only that, I also want to keep going
Huge change to say the least!
Aaaanyways, my humble-bragging ends here.
Keep an eye for the incoming artworks, and enjoy this one in the meantime! Can't thank you enough for staying on board! I might stop for a moment but I'll make sure to come back and deliver the goods :D
Cheers and have a great day!
