an update on the book (Patreon)

As some of you may recall from prior mentions in my livestreams, I've been working on a book for the past two years.

This book is centred on the contemporary issues of the Caribbean, informed by our tumultuous history and geared towards finding solutions in a "new marronage" inspired by anarchist principles and praxis.

Although it has a Caribbean focus for a Caribbean audience, its ideas will also be globally applicable, for those interested in picking it up when it releases.

I initially intended to publish the book between this year and next, but after submitting it to my intended publisher, AK Press, their invaluable feedback has inspired an improved approach to the text that will require some intensive restructuring and select rewrites.

Due to the intensive and regular work required to maintain my channel's release schedule, my work with the It Could Happen Here podcast, and the various obligations and responsibilities of my private life, fitting in this restructuring will take a significant amount of time to complete before I can resubmit and hopefully be accepted for publishing.

Ultimately, the book will not be available for some time to come. I might speculate that it may not be available until 2025 or 2026. Although initially disappointed by the delay, I am ecstatic to embark upon a refreshed and expanded approach to the book. I feel as though this has been an opportunity to truly refine what I consider to be a significant part of my life's work.
