That's kinda what I mean. I know what my needs are, but beyond straight up asking people "how much food do you need, do you have shelter, what can I do to help you, complete stranger?" and showing up for volunteer functions, I'm kinda winging it. I don't have a good understanding of the best ways to find out my communities needs without meeting all of them, and that's kinda hard to do. I'm thinking that the Maslow's breakdown will help with the posters and zines and my conversation techniques. Learning about the differences between leftist groups would be useful for me, but I live in a small suburb. There aren't any organized Leftists here. I personally need more direction on something more basic, as far as getting any direct action going. More of a sociological study of my fellow human would benefit me personally, I think. That's what I meant

Winging it is part of organizing! And I think you're approaching it the wrong way. You start with relationships and bonds and move forward from there. They're supposed to be part of your community, not just strangers. But anyway, this isn't really the place for this kind of discussion. I think you can get a lot of direction from the helpful folks on my Discord, they should be able to answer your questions.
