Completely get why youre annoyed at Max living, i was too but i dont think shes gunna get better. Like her body is there but when 11 went into her mind it was empty, Vecna had taken her. If she stayed dead season 5 would be entirely revenge driven instead of rescue driven like the rest of the show. I wasnt a fan of it either, but theyve got a plan and must have kept her alive for a reason. Maybe to try to get 11 to see the line in the sand on what she should use her powers for? Idk I think Max wouldve preferred to be dead than a hollow shell. After they save her 'soul' from Vecna shes provably gunna die. If im wrong and shes fine at the end its dead. Roll on season 5! R.I.P Eddie.. his cover is top 3 badass scenes in the show for me

What I didn’t like, is that max was “saved” by 11. So weak that they didn’t kill her off.

If they had kept the same energy for Max the way they did for my man Eddie I would have said this season finale was worth it....but they played chicken and lost LOL. Eddie would have been a breath of fresh air in the group....idk bout those fan theories bout him facing the accusations of what them townsfolks thought he did....Eleven been there damn near 3 years and not even the fckin top fedz could find her you telling me they couldn't hide Eddie? LMAO weak. IDK if I am even interested in season 5 cause I literally am tired of the old cast (it never feels like I might lose one of them so it just gets boring during high stake scenes cuz you know they miraculously gonna survive) and fed up of them sniping out new interesting characters. (Alexi and now Eddie)

I wouldn't have been bothered so much about Eddie's death if Max had actually died too, that would state the series was finally entering a phase where anyone could get taken out. It might sound morbid but next to Eddie, Max would have had one of the most beautiful death scenes I would have seen from a show in this era of television...everything building up to it had been perfect then they just rip the rug from under the audience and everything just felt null and void.....like what they did with Hopper's "death scene". There is always a trap many good shows fall into when they either kill too many characters / the wrong characters or in this case no big character. They need to learn when, where, and how to kill off the right character at the right time, and dammit they had that moment with Max and just fcked it up for the fear of fans hauling ass on Twitter lol.

Did Eddie stay in the upside down because he thought the bats would follow them into regular Hawkins? Or because he thought they’d go back to Vecna’s, where Steve and co are? They weren’t really clear, if they’d shown the bats changing course to Vecna’s yard and that made him turn back then it might’ve made some sense. Max should’ve died but fine, she didn’t. Eleven couldn’t find her when she looked into her mind; would Max even want to be ‘alive’ this way? I wonder if they did this for a reason - when Max wakes up, will it be her or someone/something else if she’s not actually there anymore? I think they will kill off some of the main cast off in the final season - they have to at this point. Any new character will probably be safe for once.
