To explain the pacing Joe your right on the nail. But the creator of the anime pretty much likes getting to point of the main story and doesn’t like wasting time, hence certain things will be briefly explained like past events. And the rushing of information is something you have to rewatch a few times to understand (it’s like that in the sub as well). So to explain Nanami’s (7:3 curse user) his technique allows him to hit a critical 100% every time he hits the target of a ratio of 7:3. 7 to 3 lines a way, and to explain Itadori situation with Sakuna, there pact can only activate if sakuna says the word “expansion” and he takes over for a few seconds and he’s not allowed to hurt anyone in those few seconds only to help Itadori in a time of need. Healing Junpei is something he didn’t want to do also cause Itadori forgot the pact they made so he couldn’t switch regardless of the situation. Also all the students and the higher up of Jujutsu Tech still think that Itadori is dead because Gojo made sure his health record was still marked decease to give him time to become stronger for the exchange event and to protect himself from any assignations. Thank you for coming to my TedTalk.

Also to add Sakuna couldn’t take advantage of the offer Itadori made cause it would be breaking the pact meaning Sakuna would’ve died right then and there.

I’ve got a few clarifications for these episodes: Nanami’s cursed technique allows him to make a weak point on a person or object so his attacks are like critical hits. So it’s pretty much what Joe said except the weak point is always at a specific point on whatever he attacks; it’s always at the 7:3 point of a length/3 tenths of a length or 7 tenths of a length. That’s why they showed all the diagrams with a ruler/scale because the weak point is always a certain ratio along the length he hits. The overtime thing is something different; Nanami basically sets a restriction/pact on himself to restrict the amount of cursed energy he can use during work hours in exchange for greatly increasing his cursed energy output beyond work hours. Lastly, the reason he explained his powers is because when you explain your cursed technique to your opponent it acts as a sort of pact where your technique becomes more effective due to the risk you place on yourself. It may have also worked as a distraction but explaining your power is also used to give yourself a boost. I’m pretty sure the mangaka (manga author if you’re unfamiliar with that term) came up with this idea because they probably hate it when characters in anime explain their power for no reason.
