I'm back, in the middle of the month, to do something crazy.

Public Demo

That's right, I've released a new publicly available demo of the game. It's been nearly TWO WHOLE YEARS since non-patron-peasants have had an update to Hyperdeep.

TWO WHOLE YEARS have gone by with that piece of shit old build being the public face of the game. I've checked the stats: 50,000 people have downloaded it! 50,000 potential patrons downloaded version 0.2.3, went "eww gross", and never touched the game again.

I could have been a millionaire by now!

Demo Lowdown

The eagle-eyed among you may have noticed that whereas previously I have referred to the publicly available build of the game as the "free version", it's now a "demo". This is because the demo build is actually up to date with the Patreon build of the game in terms of bugfixes and overall development progress, it's just had a load of the features and customization options stripped out.

This, I believe, is a more sustainable release strategy which ensures that patrons continue to get value for their subscription (the Patreon build will always be significantly more feature/content-rich than the demo), and non-patrons don't have a bad experience (the demo isn't full of bugs).

But What About ME?

Everybody chill, there's a new Patreon build as well:

Dialogue

Did it work before? Since when has it worked? What were the problems with it? I don't really know the answer to these questions but the important thing is that dialogue I think works now. To learn how to use it, check the guide!

Also if anybody wants to donate a dialogue file (that you wrote, don't just steal one from Super Deepthroat) to be included with the game as a default option I'd be more than willing to accept it. I don't think I'm cut out to be a smut dialogue writer...

UI

I fixed a load of small bugs that were present in the UI: resolution settings not applying/saving/loading properly, decal parameter selection being weird and flaky, decal color options not reloading properly when menus refresh, etc...

Camera Occlusion Magic

The action should now remain visible even when occluded by clothing and body parts and such. This is particularly relevant for the POV camera angle.

Next Time...

As I alluded to on Discord, I'd like the next build to primarily focus on customization content. I'm going to sit down and model and texture and weight-paint my heart out and come up with some more clothing and accessories to fill out the addons menu. If you have a request for a specific item you'd like to see, post it in the comments! (no promises)

Could we see customization settings on existing clothing like transparency or materials like gloss?
