This Sunday at 3 pm eastern we'll be taking on the Age of Heroes! Here a few things things to think about ahead of the stream - let us know what you think!

- the Age of Heroes is full of seemingly tall tales, which are some that you find the most believable?

- do you think learning the magic of the Children/the Old gods enabled some of the great deeds of the Age of Heroes?

- do you have a favorite among the extinct Houses?

- if ASOIAF is the Second Age of Heroes, how will our current faves be seen in 100-200 years?

Here's a partial list of Age of Heroes figures/events to help jog your memory: Garth Greenhand, Brandon of the Bloody Blade and Brandon the Builder, The Grey King, Nagga, Florian & Jonquil, Lann the Clever, Symeon Star-Eyes, Durran/Elenei, Rowan Gold-Tree, Florys the Fox, Gilbert of the Vines, John the Oak, Maris the Maid, Owen Oakenshield, Galladon of Morne, the Winged Knight, Night's King...

I have a ton of thoughts on the last question in particular! Unfortunately I think the show has influenced a lot of this endgame discourse, but… Daenerys will likely be regarded as a cult-like hero to many in Essos for smashing the slave trade. Even if she doesn’t fully succeed in ending slavery by the end, she’s at least shown that the status-quo of that society can/will be challenged and this could spark rebellions for years to come. Tragically, though, I imagine she’ll get vilified in the west for the eventual destruction of King’s Landing even if she’s not directly responsible (I leave that to the bells and JonCon/FAegon). I imagine something similar for Jon Snow. His greatest deed, making peace with the Free Folk, could also lead to more violence/chaos. Some in the Watch would say he was a traitor, he might be remembered as someone who proclaimed himself a Wildling King who took a fire witch to bed. He even returned from the dead, which isn’t really seen as a good in Westeros, so he could be remembered as someone who practiced blood magic to break free from his vows…. But others will remember him fondly as a peacemaker and uniter. Jon the Conciliator has a nice ring to it. Tyrion could end up as a Mushroom-esque figure over time. He’s already said “my sister feeds me shit and leaves me in the dark,” after all. Arya will be No One. Sansa will be remembered as a good and just queen, I’m sure. Bran will still be alive since he’s basically going to become an albino Ent. Jaime might be redeemed in the White Book if the show’s endgame is anything to go by. I imagine Ser Brienne the Tall, Breaker of Glass Ceilings, will make sure to correct the record. Cersei, however, won’t be remembered fondly. A cold, calculating woman who outsourced blood magic to resurrect a giant knight bodyguard? The maesters will say her and Ser Robert Strong slept together, probably. She’ll give off Visenya vibes, except Visenya is cool as hell. Rhaegar, Symond, and Jared Frey will be remembered for being the best tasting pie in Westeros; so delicious that Wyman Manderly savored every bite and washed it all down with Arbor gold.

@anthony dipalma - I agree with everything you’ve said. I’m just commenting that your title “Ser Brienne the Tall, Breaker of Glass Ceilings” is great 👍
