I really loved the first one! Looking forward to this part 2! Comment: how do you think GRRM would have written it now, after having the whole Blackfyre in his head? Could he have added more Targ/BF characters in the tournament?

There's a nice parallel between Dunk's thoughts before the trial by seven battle and Barristan's eve of battle speech in his TWOW chapter. Barristan: "What if you shame yourself, you wonder? What if you forget all your training?" As the horn sounds for Dunk he thinks, "I have forgotten, he thought wildly. I have forgotten all, I will shame myself, I will lose everything." This underscores the truth of what Barristan tells his men about everyone feeling that way before battle and how all battles are the same.
