This collection of chapters provide a fascinating comparison in ruling and decision-making styles. We see Tyrion, still utterly perplexed why he wasn’t loved by the commons, even though Tywin and the Tyrells are doing exactly what he should have - feeding the people. We see Sansa, witnessing the same dichotomy, and I just have a feeling she’s learning from it. We see Tywin at his utterly ruthless best, but you have to give him credit - he’s a case study in governing effectively. We might not like him but he gets stuff done. Finally we see Dany, sifting deftly through Jorah’s laughably terrible advice, and being shrewd enough to recognise when what he says is wise. I have a feeling, if Tyrion ever ends up as her advisor, she’s going to be bitterly disappointed with what she gets.
