The Bittersteel

Is it even realistic for a second "Dance of the Dragons" between Aegon VI and Daenerys? Aside from Dany actually having, you know, dragons, do you think GRRM would risk adding such a storyline? It would just add more...for lack of better term, 'chaos' with all the other storylines. But obviously long-term, Aegon/Dany need some kind of resolution.

Darton

Aziz, why is it that nobody mentions Jon's treason against the Night's Watch. That was the reason why they killed him on the show. Jon became a liability when he sent Mance to rescue his sister. The final straw was when he announced his intent to lead the wildlings to attack the Boltons.

History of Westeros

Great question! It's difficult to see how this is going to play out. On one hand, it's hard to see how Aegon VI would even get a dragon, on the other hand, if he doesn't, won't Dany's forces serious outmatch his? One way this could work itself out is if Dany doesn't really "have" her dragons, meaning, they aren't fully controlled/tamed by the time she comes into conflict with Aegon, so that they aren't very useful to her in war. Drogon seems like he'll be ready for war soon enough, but perhaps the other two won't be, and that will help balance things out. Or if Euron presses Dany so hard that she's dealing with two serious foes at once (and possibly others) that it makes up for her dragons advantage.

Sorry we couldn't answer this one during the QA, we didn't see it in time. But this is a good topic for us to discuss during the Book to Show episodes this year, so we'll do that!
