The thing that Helly tried to do with the note was pretty inventive. I think the idea was to get as much of her body out into the stairwell as possible so that it would trigger her severance chip while she was still holding that note. Points for creativity! I am enjoying the show’s parody of the work life balance and its argument that people are willing to justify sacrificing a part of themselves for different reasons, even though the show doesn’t explicitly mention money as a real world reason for why the outies choose to keep going back to Lumon.
