Of course me and Martin know more than our fair share of Star Trek. And since getting into Lower Decks we both immediately wanted to do something cute with the cast. One of those shows that kinda immediately fits into the subject matter. Like, to the point that I could definitely see them doing a Rascals homage in the show. They apparently already did in some Mobile tie-in so why not?

Had a ton of fun with this picture; started with just Tendi (being both the most easily-paddable and the show's best character) but added the other three main Lower Deckers just because we wanted the picture to look great. Was pretty easy to picture how each one of them would react to this, so the entire picture just fell nicely into place.

Dialog clenched it; in particular love Martin's idea of having Mariner just be like "Done" with the concept and trying to sit it out. Between that, Boimler insisting on going back to work, Tendi trying to be hopelessly optimistic even though it's clear they're stuck like this a while... Yeah, very fond of this one.

Seriously. The show could 100% do this plot. Hell, Martin came up with the name for this picture and it's a reference to an age-regression episode of the first Star Trek Animated Series. That's the kind of joke the SHOW would make!
