Inner circle post for 0.3.19 (Patreon)

Hi all!

Here's the inner circle post for the upcoming version 0.3.19. Also, I'd be interested to hear if you think the Inner Circle reward is a worthwhile one.

The next version will have female NPCs appearing in the gameworld, so at the moment I'm busy updating things like the friendship and character description mechanics to support both types of NPC.

I'm planning to have a short action to build relationship with them (probably as part of the nightclub scene) and then the female-npc version of the befriend scene. I've started this already, and the plan is to have different paths based on the potential friends character type.

Figuring out the paths is a little tricky because I don't want them to conflict with full events that might get added later. As with the male scene, a high relationship will just make the befriending automatically succeed, but a lower one could require the pc to prove their value as a friend.

Right now, the basic three paths are:

Befriending a party-girl will involve going to a bar and fulfilling a crazy party-type challenge. I've written a fair bit of a drinking contest path - the only one I've actually started seriously writing so far. There's other possible challenges but the "drunken dare" scenario is one that can come into play in nightlife too so I might leave befriending with just that one path and have further dares in future scenes - before 0.4 I intend to add a "visit a bar with a friend" scene that'll be an alternative to the current club one.

Befriending a sophisticated woman is a bit trickier. I'm thinking that the scene should highlight her sexual confidence. I have one plan which I'll leave secret for now - perhaps I'll share more when I start writing it.

As for Innocents, my plan at the moment is to give the pc a chance to protect her from a pushy man. Of course the downside there is that the pc's stats will vary and there needs to be an alternative for when the pc has the shy trait. Perhaps the same thing will happen but they'll both end up getting groped by some men... although I'm not sure if that makes sense as a good start to a friendship.
