Hello everyone!

I'm making a change to how Newlife is released. This is in order to deal with the longstanding problem where Newlife wouldn't use the correct custom npc directory when the execution directory was different to the one the jar was in.

Solving this problem will let me add in persistent options, which will mean I can add a way for players to customise things like font sizes - a common request from people on large resolutions.

In the future, Newlife will be released as a .zip file. This will contain a folder with the jar and exe as well as a sub-folder with library jars. As before, running the game will create a newlife_gamedata folder for saves and so on - this will also be created in the newlife folder.

I've attached a test version to this post, and it would be helpful if people could test it and report any problems. It works ok on my machine, but this sort of change can sometimes throw up issues on different operating systems.

In particular, if you test this on a non-windows OS or on Windows 10 then could you post a message and let me know if it worked or not.

To play the game, just unzip the file which contains a single folder named "newlife" and then run either the newlife.jar or newlife.exe file which are in this folder.

As an added "incentive", this version contains a few gameplay changes. These have not been tested at all, so it remains to be seen how improved it is - normally these smaller changes have fewer bugs than new scenes, but that isn't always the case.

A particularly important change is the fix to the directory problem. If you were getting this before (I heard it might have something to do with some way of running the game in windows 10) then please let me know if the problem is fixed.

Other changes include npcs being able to end oral sex, adjusted npc choice for the gym that makes it easier to get 0.3.16's new scene, a new cheat and some minor text improvements & additions.

Thanks for any help you can give... I've been trying to deal with this bug for months now, so let's all cross our fingers and hope it works!
