Hello everyone!

I've attached Newlife 0.3.15 to this post. Let me know if you find any bugs or typos. I know there's usually a bunch of text issues that get reported right after a release, so if any bug reports come in tomorrow then I'll put out a fixed version in the evening.

The second sentence in the new scene is missing a closing quotation mark, and in the second paragraph 'drive' should be 'drives'.

Sigh! Another fairly disappointing update again SO! Come one, I know you can do so much more and better than this. One new scene per month + some minor quality of life changes in the last 4-5 updates is just hardly worth the 4k$ you get from your patrons every month. :( I'm beginnings to suspect that Cubano was right, and that you take those funds to "research" the prices of drinks and at your local nightclubs. :p Still, as I really love the game, I hope that these sub-par updates is just temporary and that you have some big, juicy plans in store for us in the future. I sincerely hope that the current "one scene per month" is not the direction Newlife is heading in the future. What made me a patron in the first place, was the fact that you posted roughly two updates every month, each with lots of new content instead of just a new scene, a few minor changes and some bugfixes as you've roughly done the past six months or so.

The event lottery is off the table now and I guess that SO has more time now to work on the overall progression fo the game. Give it a little time.

Yeah, I'll have to wait and see where the game is headed I guess. I am still a patreon and will continue to support SO and Newlife until I feel that the money I spend and the progress of the game is slowing down to the point where it's not worth supporting it any longer. I do love the game after all and the market for erotic life sim games is extremely small, and I have huge hopes for Newlife. That doesn't change the fact that the last 4 or so new versions has been very lackluster imo. Getting 4000$ from your patreons every month, and then deliver ONE new scene is quite poor, and thus I felt it was time to voice my concerns about this fact.

in the the gig event, is it possible to make it so that if you grope back in the first scene that he could penetrate the pc?

I was bummed out to see the update. We waited nearly a month for an update, and it amounts to a new scene and reducing the appearance of one of the other new scenes. That was a one-two for me. The concert scene happened just enough for me to not get tired of it and enjoy it when it happened. Now it'll happen even less. "I'm not angry, just disappointed."

I know that, and that is also why I said the first scene. But then you know who it is, and its more exciting with public sex from behind. this is also what i taught would happen the first time I read the scene.

I'm also on board with this concern, I'm having a hard time justifying the supporting of one new scene and minor fixes/additions a month. If this trend continues I think I'll bow out, I'll give it one more month though in case this is a Christmas holiday induced slump.

Honestly not focusing on the sum of what he gets.... but my 5 dollars a month for even 1 new scene is about an hour or two of fun which is cheaper then a movie ticket. If I were donating 20+ I could see being upset but, as it is I am happy.

Well spotted. I thought about limiting the "invite to shop" action to sultry girls, but it makes more sense to use behaviour instead.

I dunno if I'd go that far. 3.14 was a robust update as far as I'm concerned, but I have to admit 3.13 and 3.15 didn't quite measure up. You win some, you lose some. And if you think you could deliver more content, nothing's stopping you from cashing on on a competitor's weak spot.

keeper - that's not going to happen until at least the "relationships" update "block". Though it does seem like SO's been blending some of that kinda content into this "block" - he had been working on friendships, but the past several updates have focused on dating - so he could very well be focusing on multiple concepts. Who knows. Brian - your last sentence is kind of a weak statement, and it always bugs me when people use it. Being critical of something doesn't automatically equate to thinking you could do better. How many movie critics are Academy Award-winning directors? I'm not taking sides here, I just hate that sentiment

Maybe bummed out wasn't the right word to explain what I was feeling, A combination of waiting almost a month, having one of the last new scenes pop up less often and then have the new scene be trait specific and not general just threw me. The fact that after the first two, I'm forced to play a certain way to experience this new content was really frustrating. I couldn't do a better job than what SO is doing now, but like Center said, that shouldn't stop me from being critical. I understand that SO was sick and there's the holiday's and stuff, which is why I'm not pulling my pledge or anything like that. I just wanted to say that between 3.13 and 3.15, things have been kinda lackluster for me.

Centerflag: Normally I agree with exactly that criticism of that line of thinking, but we have a person objecting to a slow pace of development and not pointing to any of the existing competitors having faster ones. Therefore it's reasonable to assume if the only difficulty is laziness, then either he or some other talented individual would be absolutely cleaning house with the competition. I don't see any evidence that that's the case. I get that not everyone can be movie stars, however there's a MUCH bigger pool of people with enough skills to make text games, and THAT is why my criticism is valid. It's much more likely that the increasing complexity of the game is causing updates to require more work to work with the existing codebase.

Yes, I am a $5 patron ,but I thought I should put in my 2cts worth. You said earlier that the mugger would not rape or that rape was not in the works because no forced sex,however physical training at the gym could avoid this rape. This would add reason to go to the gym. The protagonist would be hailed as a hero to those victim of Rape. Just a thought.

Aye. I've been donating $10 for a long while, and while it can be disappointing when there's three, four weeks between updates, it's a lot less frustrating when I remind myself that I spend more than that a week on alcohol, heh

The gig sex content is quite specific to that scene and wouldn't be convertable to other ones. Adding similar sex paths has the problem that it's much simpler and less varied than the full sex scenes, and I don't think gig-style sex paths would work well with more frequent scenes. As for the groper having sex with you while you're assuming he's your date, that would seem like it'd demand more interaction with the man you're out with, as it'd be strange for things to continue as if nothing had happened afterwards. More significantly though - like most scenes there are lots of ways it could be built on, but for the time being I think it's good enough and I want to focus more on finishing off the last of the lottery content and pushing on towards 0.4

New update was pretty good, but I find it lacking in content. I have a suggestion, for maybe Sultry type characters involving the training at the gym. Not sure why, but I'm guessing that characters with big boobs need a bra to use the cardio machine is to keep their nipples hidden, and because it's too heavy. Though, I feel that Sultry type characters should be able to use the cardio machine (or anything) to "accidentally" free the nip. Or maybe even have the option to grind on the dude that you're working out with. Lol. I would also like to see clothing conditions (such as "you skirt is no longer covering your bottom") be applied to the gym as well. All in all, a decent update, though I hope to see more content in the next update, and keep up the good work.
