About the Kingswood Saga (Patreon)

Tales from Kingswood is a story that has been in my mind, in one form or another, since I was in my early teens. At its very heart, it's a story of my idealised time at school and the sort of environment I would have loved to grow up in.

I'm no stranger to extended story worlds, with three of my biggest stories (Benny Takes Control, The Dangers of Desire and Benny's House) all taking place in the same world, but the Kingswood Saga is definitely my most ambitious project so far.

The core series, Tales from Kingswood, is already underway, with chapter 8 having been published this week. This title follows the eight boys of Dorm 1.01 as they settle into Kingswood and begin to learn its many sordid secrets. It is currently my plan to follow the boys through all seven years at the school, with each Year being essentially its own book (think Harry Potter but with dicks instead of wands).

Writing such an extensive story based on the same characters is exciting as a writer, because it means I get to shape these characters from the fresh-faced eleven-year-olds they start as, right up to the eighteen-year-old men they will be by the time they leave the school. It does also bring with it a butt-load of challenges too, not least of which is how to keep it interesting without devolving into ridiculous soap opera 'murder or divorce at every special occasion' shenanigans.

Beyond Tales from Kingswood, I plan to open the story world a bit wider with occasional one-shot stories and limited series based on other students, teachers and staff at the school. The current student body comprises of 224 students (and I can tell you every one of their names and what dorm they're in, just out of interest) which means there are potentially a lot of stories to tell!

Tales from Kingswood is quite unique to me from a writing perspective too, as it's the only story I have ever had to re-write. Usually I will just sit down, write whatever comes to mind and end up happy with the result. With Tales from Kingswood, I got to chapter ten, twice, and ended up completely re-starting for various reasons. These two early versions will show up eventually as higher level 'Exclusive Content' and will definitely be something to check out if you like the series, if only to see what might have been.

New chapters of this, like all of my new stories, will be posted on here individually for patrons of all levels, then posted as a single complete story when it's finished, so for now just look out for new chapters as they get posted.
