“Morning, beautiful!”

A serene smile spread over Kai’s face as he heard the words from Caleb. Consciousness was barely beginning to creep back in and the greeting had immediately brightened his morning before it even started.

“Yeah, not bad thanks, you?” Caleb asked.

Kai frowned at the comment/question. He hadn’t replied to Caleb’s initial salutation so why had he continued talking. Allowing a single eye to open a crack, he raised his head and glanced across the room, only to find Caleb sitting on the other bed, his phone held up to his ear. “Ugh,” he grunted as he realised his mistake.

“Oh, looks like Kai’s awake!” Caleb said, followed a moment later by, “Morning Kai. Ellie says hi too!”

“Ellie can bite me!” Kai croaked groggily.

Caleb smirked and said, “Kai says hi back!” He paused for a moment and answered his girlfriend, “Yeah, he’s totally forgiven you for the mall dare. Water under the duck’s bridge… or something!”

Kai huffed and rolled over. Being woken up early, mistakenly thinking Caleb had called him beautiful, hearing Caleb talking to Ellie. None of these were things Kai wanted to start his day with, especially considering a big chunk of his day was going to be spent at a funeral. He closed his eyes to try and get more sleep, doing his best to block out the conversation. Still awake as he heard the chatter gradually draw towards a conclusion, he listened to Caleb’s final comment to his girlfriend.

“Aww, thanks, I appreciate you calling but really I’m good. Today’s gonna be fine!” Caleb said jovially. After hearing a reply from Ellie, he finished with, “Yeah, you too. I’ll text ya later!”

Kai remained still as silence filled the room for several seconds. He heard a hearty sigh, followed by movement and then footsteps approaching him.

“Kai, can I… I mean… is it okay…” Caleb mumbled awkwardly, then stated a more confident, “Kai, I dare you to cuddle me!”

Kai felt a tightness in his chest, butterflies in his stomach and a wedgie in his butt. The last one wasn’t really related, it just happened at the same time. “Well if it’s a dare I suppose I have to,” he chuckled as he rolled over, de-wedgieing his underwear as subtly as he could as he held an arm out towards Caleb. “Aww, Cay,” he said sympathetically as he saw the look on his friend’s face. He looked to be on the verge of tears. “Come here,” Kai said, beckoning the other boy towards him.

Caleb sighed again and flopped down into the bed, quickly cuddling up against Kai as he let the smaller boy’s arms wrap around him.

“Thought you just said you were good!” Kai observed.

“I lied,” Caleb said shakily.

Kai felt the butterflies in his stomach give way to a nagging ache from guilt. He had just heard Caleb tell his girlfriend he was fine, but he was openly admitting to Kai he wasn’t. He felt like he should tell Caleb to be open with Ellie about how he was feeling, but it felt good to be the one that Caleb talked to, the one he was completely honest with. “I’m sure it really will be all okay,” Kai reassured the other boy, with a clearly audible lack of certainty.

“I hope so,” Caleb sighed as he squeezed tighter against Kai.

Kai knocked on the door to Caleb’s house. Any other day, he would have just let himself in, but today felt a lot more… formal, so he knocked and waited. Even though Caleb had stayed over – as he had almost every night since getting home from his family holiday – he had returned home to get ready for the funeral, giving Kai instructions to just come round whenever he was ready.

The door swung open and Kai found himself greeted by a repulsed sneer, accompanied by, “Oh, hey faggot!”

Kai recoiled slightly from Kieran, Caleb’s rancid pustule of a brother. He never knew whether the young man actually thought/knew Kai was gay, or whether he just liked using it as an insult, not that it really mattered either way. It was still a painful thing to be called, even on the best of days, and today was not the best of days!

Thankfully Kai was rescued from anymore of Kieran’s bile as Mr Clarke appeared from a doorway and called out, “Oh, hi Kai. You look very smart!”

“Oh,” Kai replied, glancing down at his new suit. He had felt a bit silly putting it on, but once he was dressed and looked at himself in the mirror he actually quite liked the look. He had snapped a picture of himself before he left his house and considered posting it on social media, but aside from not wanting to draw attention to the funeral for Caleb’s sake, it also just felt a bit gross. “Thanks. I’m sorry for your loss,” he offered in return as he walked into the house and Kieran shut the door. It was Mr Clarke’s mother who had passed away, rather than Mrs Clarke’s, and this was the first time Kai had seen him since it happened.

“Thank you,” Mr Clarke nodded. “And thank you for coming. I know Caleb appreciates it,” he said gratefully before hurrying off into another room.

“Can’t believe Caleb brought a date to a fucking funeral,” Kieran sneered derisively, being careful to keep his voice low enough to not be overheard by his father.

Kai seethed at the comment. He wanted to shout back at him, to insult him, to vent his anger, but he knew it would do no good. It never did. Kieran was as slippery as he was contemptable, always able to get away with anything when it came to being an absolute cunt to Caleb and his friends.

“Something to say, faggot?” Kieran goaded.

Kai glared back at the hateful young man for a moment, then headed for the stairs as he said, “I’m sorry for your loss!” The fact he didn’t get anything shouted at him or thrown at him was a sign that he had achieved at least a slight victory for once. Almost trembling from the solo encounter with the nasty twenty-year-old, Kai reached the door to Caleb’s room, tapped gently and called out, “It’s me… Kai!”

“Come in!” Caleb called back.

Kai opened the door and stepped inside to find Caleb standing at his wardrobe, clad in just a towel, his broad, muscular back peppered with little water droplets and his hair a wet mess. He closed the door without taking his eyes off his friend’s body. Below the towel, his legs were covered in dark hair, darkened further by wetness.

“I’ll just be a minute,” Caleb started as he reached into his wardrobe. As he turned he continued, “I had to wait to get in the bathroom because…” He stopped mid-sentence as he saw Kai standing across the room. Dressed in his brand-new black suit, accompanied by a white shirt and black tie, Kai looked incredibly dashing. His hair, usually a blonde mess, was impeccably styled in a manner usually only seen on school picture day. Being the scrawny boy he was, it would have been easy for Kai to get lost in the suit, but it fitted him perfectly, accentuating his slender waist and narrow chest without making him look too skinny. “Wow!” Caleb gasped, seemingly involuntarily. As he said it, the towel slipped from his waist and dropped to the ground.

Kai chuckled slightly nervously at the ‘wow’, but grinned as he saw his friend standing fully naked and replied, “And a wow right back at ya. Love the outfit!”

“Huh?” Caleb grunted, seemingly not even aware of the towel drop. He looked down, let out a slight nervous squeak and reached down to grab the towel, clasping it in front of his flaccid dick and balls.

“So you like the look then?” Kai blushed.

“You… y… you…” Caleb stuttered, then chuckled awkwardly and shook his head as he said, “You look like James Bond if they decided to cast him as a twink!”

“I will happily take that,” Kai said, nodding as he finally moved to go and sit on Caleb’s bed.

Caleb smiled and raised the towel to start drying his upper body. As he lifted it to start rubbing his hair, it left his entire lower half fully exposed.

The games they had been playing recently had made all of them a lot more confident about being naked in front of each other. A month earlier, Caleb probably would have made Kai wait outside the room until he was dressed, but he now stood half exposed, and Kai certainly appreciated the view. He let out a slight whimper as he felt his cock begin to swell at the sight of Caleb’s limp penis flopping about as he dried his hair. He crossed his legs and leaned forward to lay his arms over his lap.

“Did you manage to avoid cuntface?” Caleb asked as he tossed the towel to the floor and opened a drawer to pull out a pair of boxers.

“Afraid not,” Kai replied, shaking his head. As he got a concerned look from Caleb, who was just pulling up the underwear, he added, “Don’t worry though, it was fine!”

Caleb smiled meekly as he paused to look over at Kai. He knew it had almost certainly not been ‘fine’ but he appreciated Kai saying it anyway. “I’m really glad you’re here today,” he said wistfully before he continued getting dressed.

Caleb’s day had been evenly split between awkward conversations with relatives he never saw and avoiding being anywhere near Kieran. His brother had the uncanny ability to be awful without even saying a word, able to convey the nastiest of thoughts with a single silent sneer. It was made even worse by his mum who positively gushed about Kieran to anyone who would listen.

When the service finally began, Caleb’s parents had been seated on the front row to one side, joined by Mr Clarke’s father, Kieran, Caleb and Kai, while the opposite side had Caleb’s aunt, uncle and cousins. Kai had deliberately seated himself between Caleb and Kieran. He hoped that even Kieran wouldn’t do anything nasty during the actual funeral, but he didn’t want to risk it and took up the position of human shield.

As the first speaker began talking about the late Petunia Clarke, Caleb sniffled slightly. Kai considered reaching across to try and hold his hand, but before he made a move he noticed Kieran look round, easily peering over Kai to his brother. He smirked. His little brother was upset about losing his grandmother, and the absolute cunt was smirking about it. Kai wanted to hurt him more than he had ever wanted to hurt anyone in his life, but aside from the fact it was a fight he knew he would lose, he wasn’t about to make a scene. Instead, he just glanced round at Caleb who cleared his throat and now sat facing straight forward, stoney-faced.

The rest of the service passed without incident, and without so much as a sniffle from Caleb. In fact, his stalwart silence continued past the service and right into the wake at a nearby hotel. It had been much like the time spent before the service, with family members talking about how they never see each other and promising to make plans they all knew would never actually happen. Caleb stood through more of his mother’s gushing praise of Kieran, while simultaneously ignoring Kieran’s repeated attempts to upset him.

With most of the food gone and a few drinks drunk, the first few guests had begun to make up their excuses about why they had to leave, rather than simply saying they didn’t want to be there – ‘I have an appointment!’, ‘We have another engagement!’, ‘My cat’s getting a perm!’ It was when a few people began to leave that Kai noticed Caleb sneaking out. Excusing himself from the conversation, he quickly headed for the door to try and follow him, but as he got outside, there was no sign of his friend.

Just as he was starting to look round, Kai heard someone ask, “Can I help you there, sir?” He recognised the voice, but it didn’t quite register who it was until he turned and saw Sam Fisher from the football team grinning at him.

“Sam!? What are you doing here?” Kai asked curiously.

Sam looked down at himself and tapped the name badge he was wearing that also bore the name of the hotel. “I work here. Summer job!” he explained.

“Oh right,” Kai nodded before adding a casual, “Cool!”

“You look well smart!” Sam said as he looked Kai up and down.

“Oh, yeah, funeral!” Kai replied solemnly.

Sam nodded as he glanced towards the function room where the event was taking place. “Someone close?” he asked softly.

Kai shook his head as he said, “No, I barely knew her. It’s Caleb’s nan!”

“Oh, he never said anything,” Sam said, cocking his head as he thought about his conversations with Caleb at football.

Kai smirked a little as he nodded and said, “Yeah, that’s Caleb. Hey, have you seen him? I think he came this way!”

“No, sorry,” Sam said with a shrug. “Hey, umm… about… Saturday!” he said awkwardly.

Kai smiled slightly. Thanks to a dare from Miles, he had ended up blowing his brother in the toilets at the football field, and had then been spotted leaving the cubicle by Sam and his secret boyfriend Mark. “Chill, Leo didn’t have a clue,” Kai insisted.

Sam breathed an audible sigh of relief as he said, “Good. Mark was proper freaking out about it!”

“But not you?” Kai asked curiously.

Sam shrugged as he casually leaned against the wall and said, “Being outed doesn’t sound fun, but… just being out… I think I’d be okay with that!”

“And not having to hide that you’re together’d be nice I guess, right?” Kai asked sympathetically.

Sam sighed softly as he nodded. “Yeah,” he said quietly, “It’d be nice to be able to hold his hand in public without checking six times to make sure nobody’s looking!”

Kai nodded his understanding.

“So…” Sam started, pausing to narrow his eyes at Kai, “Should I ask why you and Leo were coming out of the same cubicle?”

“Hey, you can ask whatever you like,” Kai replied flippantly before he shrugged and finished, “Doesn’t mean I’ll answer!”

“Fair,” Sam sniggered, “But don’t worry. Neither of us are gonna be gossiping or whatever!”

“Thanks,” Kai said, glad that the reassurance he had offered his brother had been well placed.

“Y’know, when you caught us kissing and you, umm… you said about your silence coming at a price, I kinda… thought for a second that you might… have something… naughty in mind?!” Sam said coyly.

Kai grinned at the nervous teen and said, “Thought crossed my mind, but don’t worry, no price!”

“Oh, umm… it’d… be okay if there was. I mean… Mark’s not here to pay it but… I could always pay up for both of us!” Sam said as he turned to face Kai, biting his lip slightly as he swivelled gently back and forth on one foot.

“Oh!” Kai exclaimed. This was… unexpected. Doing things with other guys outside of dares and challenges was not something he had done very often, and most of them so far had ended with awkwardness. This seemed a lot more… positive! Even with the pretence of playful blackmail, it was obvious Sam was coming onto him. Between Sam and Mark, Sam was definitely the more appealing of the two to Kai. Mark was tall and gangly and considering how uncomfortable Kai was with his own skinniness, it was not something he really enjoyed in others. To use a term he had picked up from Leo and Caleb, Sam was ‘thiccc with at least 3 Cs!’

“Unless… you don’t want to and… and that’s fine,” Sam said awkwardly, “Or… wait… are you… I mean I just kind of assumed that you’re, umm…”

“Yes!” Kai quickly interjected, if only to avoid Sam verbalising his gayness, “It’s just… I was looking for Caleb!”

Sam smiled devilishly as he said, “Well… we could go look for Caleb together and if we just ‘happen’ to find a quiet spot where we can… negotiate that price, then…” He shrugged playfully rather than finishing the sentence.

Kai thought for a second, then nodded. Sam’s hand reached out and he took hold of it, giggling slightly at the skin-on-skin contact. He was pulled along down the hallway, round a corner and then through a door. He was immediately hit by the smell of chemicals and realised he was in a cleaning closet. “Yeah, I don’t think Caleb’s in here,” he said coyly.

“No, but we are!” Sam said with an eager nod. He raised a hand to Kai’s chest and pushed him back gently so he leaned against the door, then moved in towards him.

“Wait,” Kai said, raising a hand to halt Sam before their lips could meet. “I… umm… I don’t wanna… kiss. Is that… okay?”

“Oh, first time?” Sam asked, cocking his head curiously. As he got an embarrassed nod back from Kai, he smiled and looked round before he replied, “Yeah, a quickie in the broom closet’s probably not the best memory for a first kiss. That’s fine. We can do… other stuff!” His hand reached down and grabbed at Kai’s crotch.

“Oh, THAT I’m okay with,” Kai giggled as he felt the fingers grasping him through his suit trousers and underwear. He reached down to return the gesture, feeling a thick, meaty cock within Sam’s work trousers. From what he had seen in the locker room and the showers, ‘thicc’ really was a term that applied all over for Sam. Kai happily stood groping the thick prick as it swelled within his grasp, not getting a great deal longer, mostly just firming up and expanding a little.

“Ah, fuck,” Sam gasped happily as he felt himself getting hard. “You’re really hot,” he said as his eyes fluttered open.

“Thanks,” Kai replied. It was strange to hear someone say, at least directly to him. In his many public escapades, he had heard frequent comments of that nature but he had never really known if they were referring to him specifically, or just whatever predicament he happened to be in. Sure, he had plenty of people commenting it online too, but in a well posed picture, from a flattering angle, with good lighting and with maybe a filter or two anyone could look good. Hearing it in person was… exciting! “You’re hot too,” he said sincerely, though he worried it might have just sounded like expected reciprocation. Just to make sure his sincerity was clear, he added a breathy, “Your cock feels amazing!”

“Get it out!” Sam encouraged, gulping slightly.

Kai nodded back and reached for his waistband with slightly trembling hands. He got the trousers undone as Sam did the same to him. Sam’s trousers immediately fell to his ankles, being slightly looser and more worn, whereas Kai’s tighter and somewhat stiffer new trousers didn’t drop away, so Sam pushed them down to his knees before turning his attention to the tenting underwear.

“You’re so thick,” Kai gasped happily as he briefly grasped the cock once again through Sam’s boxer-briefs. He pulled the waistband down to let the meaty dick spring free and into his hand.

“Fuuuuck,” Sam moaned as he felt Kai’s fingers around his boner. He leaned forward, not to kiss this time, but just to rest his forehead on Kai’s shoulder as he fished the other boy’s dick out of his underwear too.

Kai returned the gesture, leaning against Sam as they both began to wank each other off. They roughly matched each other’s pace, though one of them was clearly accelerating as they both gradually got faster and faster. Soon enough, they had both pulled back a little. Grinning at the enjoyable sensation and the imminent release, they pressed their foreheads together, both looking down at each other’s cocks just as they began to shoot.

“Ah fuck yeah,” Sam gasped happily while Kai just groaned and panted his way through the pleasurable release.

Slowly catching their breaths as their shared orgasm subsided, both boys continued to grin and giggle. It was a pleasant change for Kai, who was starting to think the only reaction he would ever get to mutual pleasure was awkward silence.

“That was fun,” Sam said happily as he reached down to pull his trousers up.

“Yeah, and nice dick. Mark’s a lucky fella!” Kai chuckled as he worked on his own trousers.

“You won’t tell him, will you?” Sam asked, looking suddenly nervous.

“I… oh…” Kai said, looking a little taken aback. “I just figured… this was allowed! Is it… not?”

“You kidding?! I haven’t even DONE that with Mark yet. He’s… we’re taking things slow,” Sam explained, then shook his head as he growled quietly, “REALLY fucking slow!” He shook his head to clear it again and said, “You won’t tell anyone, will you?”

“N… no, no I won’t,” Kai said, suddenly feeling a little dirty. He turned and opened the door as he said, “I really should get back to looking for…” He paused as the opening door revealed Caleb walking past. “CALEB!” he yelped.

“Kai!?” Caleb frowned. “What are you…” he started, but paused as he saw Sam behind him, still doing up his trousers and exclaimed, “Sam!?”

“Fuck!” Sam grunted. “I… it’s… we were… umm…”

“We were looking for you!” Kai stated, semi-honestly.

“In his pants?” Caleb asked, looking repulsed. “It’s a fucking funeral, Kai. You can’t control yourself for one fucking day?” He huffed and stormed off down the corridor.

Kai ran after Caleb, grabbing at his arm as he caught up to him. “Wait, Caleb, please!” he pleaded.

“No, fuck off, Kai. I shouldn’t have… I shouldn’t have invited you,” Caleb said bitterly. Looking quite distraught, he added, “I shouldn’t have even told you about it!”

“Caleb, I’m sorry, please,” Kai pleaded.

“No. No, forget it,” Caleb said, shaking his head. “Just… leave me alone!” he snapped as he started walking away.

Kai followed as he continued to plead, “Just let me talk. Please!”

“Fuck off, Kai,” Caleb said furiously as he neared the function room where the wake was happening, “Just… go home!”

“Oh, fallen out with your little boyfriend, have you?” Kieran asked, standing around the corner as the arguing pair appeared.

“Fuck off, Kieran. I’m not in the mood for your bullshit!” Caleb snarled.

Kieran raised his fists as he snapped back, “Watch what you’re saying you little shit, or I…”

Caleb didn’t allow Kieran to finish. His own fist shot out, smacked Kieran right in the nose and sent him staggering back. He fell heavily against the glass door which shattered from the impact, leaving Kieran falling to the ground in a shower of glass as everyone inside the room stared round in surprise.

“Fuck!” Caleb and Kai both stated as they saw Kieran hit the ground.

Yeah not the most appropriate setting for Kai to get frisky and damage control with Caleb doesn't appear to be off to a good start. But gawd I loved that ending!

Shit… Kai is in trouble with pretty Big T. Don't know how Matt would pull it off. He really likes to make readers freak out!
