【News】About Patreon's recent statement (Patreon)

Hi everyone, patreon has updated some policies mainly towards Japanese drawing style and my work will be seriously affected too.

The following content is from Mr. Waero after obtaining his consent.

After a week of temptation, my adjustment in Patreon was finally completed.

Patreon's staff wrote letters every day, which is quite good.

At least better than Twitter. Twitter can't read it anymore.

I tested the tolerance of the other party by deleting them one by one 

until all the content met the requirements at the end, 

and I will share with you some conclusions:

經歷了一周的試探，我在Patreon的調整總算完成。

Patreon的人員每天都有親筆回信，算是挺良好的。

至少比Twitter好，Twitter只會已讀不回。

我以逐次刪除來試探對方的容許度，直到最後所有內容符合規定，

和大家分享一下得出的幾項結論：

This time Patreon officials strictly deal with two things:

1. Restrictions and pressure on minors (especially Japanese style)

2. Restrictions and pressure on external websites

這次的Patreon官方人員嚴格處理了兩件事：

1.對未成年（日系風格尤為嚴格）的限制與施壓

2.對於外連網站的限制與施壓

Regarding the first point, basically the Japanese style is almost out (I'm not sure if this word has a different name in other countries, but in our country, cute and sexy anime characters will be referred to as Japanese style), because these will almost always be Considered "suspected" as a minor.

Yes, not for Loli, but for minors under 18 years of age, and judging by appearance and style of painting, which has greatly improved the standard, even if your work is not R18, as long as these "suspects" exist Underage types are also considered illegal by Patreon.

The above four are all content that Patreon told me are illegal.

Officials provided a reference basis, saying that the main basis is "face", even if the figure is sexy and full, the face is not qualified is out. In addition, it is forbidden to use compressed files to hide works, even if no password is attached and the picture is not on the cover of the article. Of course, if the other person's expression of reluctance to sex pictures is expressed, this will also be out of the game. I think that the adult subject matter created by the two-dimensional element may only be left bare, and it must also be an obvious adult character:

Regarding the second point, the official said that it would check your Patreon traffic source and confirm whether there is any illegal content. If there is illegal content, then it will also be used to limit your Patreon business.

For example, if you have "suspect" underage work on Twitter or Pixiv (everything mentioned in the first point), Patreon will ban you from putting links to Pixiv on Patreon, and you will also be prohibited from putting Pixiv on Pixiv Enter Patreon's link, otherwise your Patreon will be considered illegal. Because of this, I have removed all links at the moment. If you want to see the work overview, I can only suggest manually searching for keywords such as "Waero Pixiv", "Waero Twitter", "Waero Patreon" or "Waero Gumroad" ... Enter these platforms yourself.

關於第一點，基本上日系風格近乎都出局了（我不確定這個詞在其他國家是否有別種稱呼，但在我們的國家，可愛性感的動漫人物會用日系風格來代稱），因為這些幾乎都會被視為"疑似"未成年。

是的，不是針對蘿莉，而是針對未滿18歲的未成年，而且是用外貌和畫風來判斷，這讓標準大幅被提升，甚至即便你的作品並非R18，只要存在這些"疑似"未成年的類型，也都會被Patreon視為違規。

標準舉例如下，大家可以參考我Pixiv上的正常向作品：

上述四張，都是Patreon告知我屬於違規的內容。

官方人員提供的參考依據，表示主要依據是"臉"，身材即使性感豐滿，臉不合格也是出局。另外，使用壓縮檔的方式隱藏作品也是禁止的，即便沒附上密碼、文章封面沒上圖片也是如此。當然，對於性愛畫面若對方表情表示不情願，這也會出局，我認為二次元創作的成人題材恐怕只能剩下單純的裸露，而且還必須是個明顯成年的角色：

關於第二點，官方表示會回查你的Patreon流量來源，並確認是否也存在違規內容，如果有存在違規內容，那麼也會用此來限制你的Patreon經營。

舉例來說，如果你的Twitter或Pixiv存在"疑似"未成年的作品（第一點提到的所有內容），那麼Patreon將禁止你在Patreon上放入Pixiv的連結，也禁止你在Pixiv上放入Patreon的連結，否則你的Patreon將被視為違規。正因如此，我目前已經將所有連結都移除，如果各位想觀看作品總覽，我只能建議手動搜索"Waero Pixiv"、"Waero Twitter"、"Waero Patreon"或"Waero Gumroad"…等關鍵字自行進入這些平台。

I may take other approaches in the future such as changing the drawing style, uploading the sensitive works to gumroad or PIXIV fanbox or switching to another platform but it takes time

Please respect the Japanese drawing style and that is a form of art too.

Everyone has been working hard for years, sacrificing health and staying up late every day. The artists have paid great efforts.

未來我可能也會採取其他方式

如改變畫風或者將敏感的作品都放在gumroad或PIXIV fanbox裡

又或者換去其他平台

但需要時間應對

但這個月作品還是會繼續畫下去，所以大家請放心
