My account was suspended for 30 days earlier today for "promoting". There's not much I can do about it for the time being.

Well that sucks. For a moment there I thought it was the work of the anti-Harry brigade, the ones who write cuck Harry stories and probably decided to report whoever writes stories where Harry bangs multiple women and cucks others. Still haven't ruled that out either. Hope you're ok. You sure there's nothing you can do? Anyone else you know who's targeted?

Ouch. I got hit a few months ago. It was really stressful editing all the mentions of patreon out of my works.

I will be devil's advocate. Rules are rules. It's not very nice to use ao3 hosting and bandwidth for self promotion.

I'm going to guess that "promoting" in this context is saying that advance chapters of works are available on non-AO3 sites. I've seen authors that link their various site pages - thing like "My work can also be found on: * FF.net link * QQ link * SB link * SV link ..." Which I think is mostly done so that people know that copies of the same story are authorized and not plagerized.

No, AO3 doesn't care about that. What they do care about is that allowing links to Patreon/Kofi/etc make them more vulnerable to getting sued and being shut down by IP owners.
