there are dozens of space stations in this solar system, this was just the first one ever built with spin gravity, it's an ancient station with very few docking ports and has been around for many years as it was being built during the global wars on Emain that took place for 2 centuries before the fall of emain to chaos. This was the main station that took on passengers from shuttles below before shuffling them onto freighters to io/elsewhere.
