It’s time. It's finally happening! Marie still couldn’t believe it, even just 10 minutes before it was supposed to happen: Hiros said that he was coming to the city of Littara to visit her and her homeworld for the first time.

This was the exact moment when Marie, once again, started to second-guess herself like crazy. She knew the two of them had been good friends for a while, and she knew that they had met many times in the past… but still. All of these doubts instantly came rushing forward.

Was Hiros still mad at her for turning him into a centauress that one time when he visited her at her laboratory? If not, what about the time she turned him into a spider girl? There was also that little mistake where she accidently left a gun on a bench, that one of his friends found and then subsequently happened to turn Hiros into a waifu version of Mythra.

…Oh what she would give to stop being so incompetent sometimes…

No, this wasn't the time to wallow in self doubt. Hiros had told her many times that he had forgiven Marie, so she shouldn't worry about it. She should just remain calm, relax and wait here, in the middle of the plaza next to the fountain and the two idols for her date to arrive… Uhm, her guest! Yes, her guest, not date, the two of them weren't going on a d-date today…

“Hi Marie! Glad to see you~?” Hiros greeted, raising his hand in his usual manner and tried his best not to laugh at Marie's reaction, as she got almost startled to the moon and back.

"EEEEK!!!"

“I agree with you there. The city is quite something.” Hiros let out sarcastically as Marie regained her balance again after flailing with her arms out of shock. And while she might have regained her composure relatively fast, there was no denying that her head was still red as a tomato after being interrupted in the middle of her thoughts.

“So, you wanted me to visit the city with you today?” Hiros asked, patting Marie on the head trying to make her feel better, which only helped to make her blush even harder. Although it did assist with calming down afterwards. Marie’s best guess was that maybe it was just in a Kitsune’s nature to like headpats.

“Y-Yes! Exactly! I have even prepared a few things for us today, since I wanted today to be special.” Maire jumped up on her foxpaw-like legs and looked at Hiros with shining eyes, her tails wagging with excitement. She then turned around to look at the other two girls, who were already giggling behind her back. “Aria, Rui. He is here. May I introduce you: This is Hiros, a good friend of mine.”

“Hehe, nice to meet you Hiros.” Both of the girls answered in sync with a very pleasant voice. Though Hiros recognized quickly that those two were not exactly human, more so mermaids with their fishtail and all, but he really didn't mind. Everyone knew already that Hiros was a great fan of monster girls, he just hadn’t been expecting Marie to show up with friends.

“Oh, hello girls.” He said, shooting them a quick smile before looking back at Marie, who seemed to be even more nervous than she was before. Though she tried her best to hide that fact behind her own innocent smile.

“Yes… uhm… those two agreed to give you one of their shows today. And… and they are really good at singing!” Marie stumbled over her own words, but tried her best to continue her sentences the best she could. She knew how well she was organized, so why was she being this nervous the entire time…?

“Haha! Yeah, you could say that. After all, we are idols around here.” Rui added, clearly enjoying Marie’s embarrassment way too much, though Aria just shook her head at her partner's behavior and added. “We had a performance today anyway, but we moved it a bit to better line up with our good friends' scheduled date.”

“Wow, that is super nice of you. Thanks for organizing this, Marie” Hiros let out, bringing a big smile to the kitsune's face as well. Just that praise made her whole effort feel worth it, though it was over quite yet. Quite the opposite, the real show was just about to start as Rui winked at her and said out loud. “Well then, my honored guests~ Prepare to be amazed~”

And with that, the show had officially begun. Compared to their humble beginnings of having to use a pair of speakers to broadcast finished music, they now got a small band to help them out with the background music. The small band those two had created were not only all good friends to Marie by now, but also very good at playing the music Aria and Rui would sing too.

A bit into the first song, Marie could feel her heart beating faster. She had prepared a thing in advance in order to impress Hiros and soon came the perfect opportunity to present that to Hiros. Now all she needed to do was to wait for them to finish their first song…

As the applause of the audience died down and the band prepared their next number, Marie turned to face Hiros. She really wished she could control her tails better in moments like this, but now was not the time to think about trivial things like that. “Uhm… Hiros?”

“What’s up? Oh, those two really are amazing. The first song was already an ear catcher.” Hiros replied with a big smile, to which Marie briefly considered backing down, but decided to stand her ground and continued with what she wanted to say. “Yes, they are. Not surprising considering they have been descended from sirens, or so I have been told. Anyway, Hiros, did you know I was actually the one who designed their equipment? For a while now I have been a good friend, sponsor and fan of this little group~”

"That's amazing. But let me guess, you enchanted those instruments with a few of your blessings, am I wrong?” Hiros winked, making Marie blush a bit. Though he wasn't exactly wrong.

“Yes, but I didn’t do much. Only like a bit of a sound amplification, that is also able to carry the magic of their songs further than they would be otherwise able.” Marie elaborated, but had to smile considering how interested and appreciative Hiros looked at that moment. It looked like step one of her amazing date plan had been a total success…

Though that was the exact moment Marie noticed that not everything was as perfect as she had hoped. She had a certain feeling for a while now, but when she looked at the people around her it became abundantly clear that she had made a mistake.

The song amplified by her mic was carried out and over the audience was just a tad bit stronger than she had accounted for. And that included the siren’s magic carried by that music. Where normally a siren's magic would only be able to charm and maybe hypnotize the listeners, now the magic of the siren’s music was so strong that people in the audience actively began changing as they listened to the idols.

Neither Rui nor Aria would usually be able to muster enough magic to even affect a normal human being, but now everyone in the audience started gaining merfolk traits, such as scales along their legs of many different colored shades because of them. Fins were also made present along with the gills needed to breathe underwater, causing many people to fall down on their butts as their legs fused together into a single but powerful fishtail.

Marie looked around and watched the suddenly changing audience members and in her panic tried to figure out what was going on, only to see more of the same amongst the crowd.

Oh no, did something go wrong? What did she mess up this time?! She wore a worried expression as more and more of the audience were altered by the magical song of the sirens and soon lost their legs in trade for fish tails covered in their respective scale colors.

Of course while this was happening there was a bit of pandemonium in the audience as next to no one was prepared for this outcome when they came to see the concert. Though among the crowd there were some who were enjoying their new looks, but otherwise it was pretty chaotic.

Yet somehow, the chaos quickly seemed to turn into even bigger cheers as the song of Marie's friends reached its climax. They should have stopped the song as soon as they saw panic breaking out in the entire crowd, but to be fair, to them it may have just looked like the fans were cheering even harder for them than usual. Though why did they suddenly start cheering instead of panicking again…?

“W-What…?” Was all Marie could let out, as she took a moment to look at a single person next to her a bit closer. It was clear that that guy had already lost most of his hair across his body through his transformation into a merfolk, but it seemingly wasn’t done yet. Marie could literally watch as the guy’s body slimmed down and his face became rounder and softer, making him almost look… girly?

Oh no.

This of course caused her to fear that the guys in the audience had now started to change in gender on top of their bodies becoming inhuman, which only served to confirm her fears. All of the guys quickly started slimming down and becoming overall more feminine as they  developed further feminine traits.

Their eyelashes had become longer and slightly curled, their lips softer and a bit puffier, waists pinched inwards, and hips grew wider. Soon all the guys in the audience looked like girls with the only exception being the breasts, however that was also quick to change as when the first guy in the audience started growing a pair of his own. Before Marie knew it the audience may as well have been entirely women.

However that wasn’t the only major thing that had changed, as when Marie observed the members of the audience who were already female, their changes went down the route of further enhancing their feminine traits. They seemed to grow more curvaceous and alluring, breasts that were modest became large and their lower bodies had rounded out in the same fashion.

Their faces seemed to even become more sultry and enticing as if groomed to attract those who would even so much as glance in their direction with how beautiful they appeared. As the song drew to a close it was clear to Marie that the entire audience had become mermaids (her excluded of course) and realizing this she turned her head towards Hiros worried she’d wound up getting him transformed again.

…however, despite everything that had just transpired, Hiros seemed fine. Literally everyone who listened to the siren's song had become a busty mermaid right in front of Marie's eyes, aside from Hiros.

“W-Wha…? How did I…?” Marie stuttered, making Hiros turn to face her briefly, his expression clearly looking like he was enjoying himself. Yet there was no trace of him being even remotely affected by the siren's song, which just baffled Marie to no end.

She messed up. She made a mistake. So why didn’t she get punished for it?

After the fifth song the pair of siren descendents sang, they reached the end of their performance. They bowed to the audience of mermaids as far as the eye could see, making them cheer in their very fangirly voices. To Marie it was clear that Aria and Rui were popular, but it seemed like this little mishap on Marie's account made them even more beloved.

“Thanks for coming to today's performance! You have been awesome as always and Aria and I hope to see you again on friday!” Rui announced, making the crowd in the middle of the plaza go wild again, which only died down slowly as the two performing mermaids and their band started to pack their instruments.

Marie and Hiros were pretty much the only people that were let through by Georg, the drummer who also doubled as a bouncer for the two rather fragile mermaids, to get close to the band as a general. And the two mermaids immediately looked like they wanted to jump and hug Marie on the spot.

“That was amazing! Your new mic really worked like magic!” Aria expressed, looking at her tool briefly before putting it away into her bag.

“I-It did…?”

“Obviously! Didn’t you see? I have never seen a crowd fired up like that!” Rui added, looking like she was reminiscing while hugging herself. “It was like our voices reached the hearts of so many people today even more than usual. For our final song, they even sang along with us!”

“Y-yes, but I might need to do a few more test runs with those mics. I think I saw a small malfunction during the performance.” Marie said, sweating heavily as she tried not to break the news to anyone that the entire audience had just been dehumanified by their amazing song.

“Oh, I didn’t notice anything.” Rui answered quickly.

“Huh, if that's the case then we better give them back for now.” Aria scratched her head briefly, before shooting a glance at Rui.

Both let out a brief sigh, but diligently returned both of the mics without protest. Marie was so internally happy that she didn’t have to explain the situation even further, especially since this mic seemed to have warped reality once again. But alas, that might be a good thing. After all, that way she didn’t need to explain to anyone what had just transpired.

“Thanks, you two. I promise I’ll return them even better and stronger than before (although hopefully less crowd changing).” The foxy mechanic smiled, causing the two mermaids to beam a smile back at her, before their friends and partners seemingly finished packing all of their stuff.

That's when Marie noticed a big shadow above all of them, making all look up to the sky. There was a big carriage carried by four harpies being transported to them from right above, which immediately prompted Rui to wave wildly. As the carriage landed, the biggest harpy, about one and a half times bigger than Marie, landed in front of all of them and tipped her hat.

“Hi Juni~ Thanks for picking us up~” Rui smiled, making the harpy nod.

“Excellent work you two. I heard today's performance had an even better album sellout rate than ever before.” Juni spoke, her voice being surprisingly deep. “ Now then, our boss is waiting for you. Let’s get you to the studio as quickly as possible.”

“You got it. Thanks for helping out again, Marie~” Rui chimed while Aria simply nodded with a smile, before the two other members of the band helped the girls into the flying carriage. And with one final wave, the harpy tipped her hat at Marie once again, before taking off, making the other four harpies take off with the carriage in their talons.

As the carriage slowly faded out of view, Marie turned to Hiros with a nervous but very much happy smile. “Shall we get going too?”

“Yeah, let’s~” Hiros responded, taking Marie’s hand with his own and gesturing for her to lead the way. And after a brief moment of coping with the fact that Hiros had just taken her hand, she started to go, with Hiros right beside her.

“You know, it doesn't need to be today, but when I next visit you, I would love to fly in one of these Harpy carriages as well.” Hiros suddenly let out, catching Marie a bit off guard.

“Uhm… sure. I’ll make sure to remember that and organize something next time.” She replied, making him giggle as his hand wandered to the top of Marie's head. And then he patted her in a way that made Marie want to drop everything and just cuddle him in the middle of the street. And if it weren’t for her pride, she maybe even would have done it.

“Thank you.” Hiros said.

“You're welcome.” Marie purred.

Part 2

Okay, for now everything was going perfectly for Marie's perfect date. There might now be a few more mermaids in town, but as long as nothing happened to her precious date, she was content with it. Though Marie was almost 100% sure that something was about to go wrong again, as always…

In any case, Hiros and Marie were now wandering through the city, still holding each other hand in hand. It had been a while since Marie had the opportunity to stroll through the city and take in all the views for herself and now she was doing it while showing them to her very special friend.

“It’s funny. There are many types of buildings that are in my world as well, but also a lot that I only really knew from fantasies.” Hiros let out as his gaze wandered around from building to building.

“Really? What do you mean?” Marie asked, her tails stopping to waggle for a moment as she turned to look at Hiros next to her.

“Take this building for example. This is a library right?” Hiros asked, pointing towards a large building that the two of them were just about to pass by.

“Ah! This one? Uhm… Yes? That is just a library… Ahahaha…” Marie stuttered, knowing exactly what that building actually was. What Marie had realized was that when you had a close relationship with queen Marina, the queen tended to brag about the time when she still had the upper hand on the dark goddess and had used her power to improve the kingdom in many ways. And this library had been one of these improvements, but that was nothing she needed to bring up to Hiros at that moment.

“Libraries, even though they tend to fall out of favor in the current day and age, do exist where I come from and have for a very long time.” Hiros explained, giving a smile to the foxgirl next to him, who was listening to him eagerly.

“But buildings like this, these guild headquarters, I have only read about in fantasy stories. Those are usually the buildings where adventurers go to, take on quests to take down dragons and make a living.” Hiros described gesturing with his hands grandly. Though after seeing how Marie was just staring at him, he backpaddled a little bit. “Or something along these lines.”

“...I was trying to remember how your world operated.” Marie replied after a little while, her expression grew a bit more serious for a moment, with her brow furruring and her tails almost not swaying. “Our guild is the collection center of information and missions regarding Poldur and is the epicenter of safe trades through the continent. I guess because you don’t have Poldur you are not really in need of such a facility.”

“Poldur? May I ask what those are, because I have never heard of them before?” Hiros responded, which caught Marie a little bit off guard, but she quickly returned a somewhat pained smile.

“Poldur are creatures that feed off of magic and tend to leave destruction wherever they go.” She explained. “Firing magic directly at them is stupid, you would only make them stronger. Even if Nagisa herself tried to turn them into something else or make them disappear, they would feed off that power, rendering her spell useless and making the Poldur stronger.”

“...but I thought there were some magical soldiers that fight evil beasts around here? If they feed off magic, then how…” Hiros wanted to ask, but Marie interrupted him with a kind of cold look on her face.

“Saying all magic is the same is like saying that all sources of energy are the same. Or every human is the same. Thing is, it always depends on how you use that power. If you for example make the classic move and cast a fireball, your magic would create a fireball and that's what would hit the Poldur.”

“Oh, so a fireball doesn't actually deal ‘magic’ damage. I mean, it makes sense if I think about it, I was just used to video games.” Hiros declared, rubbing the back of his head. “But if that doesn’t count as magic, then what does?”

“For example mind control, taming or reality warping magic. Nothing of this sort works against these beasts, which is the reason why they still exists” Marie laughed weakly, then shook her head. “After all, do you really think Nagisa, the all powerful goddess, would let creatures this threatening live despite being the guardian goddess of this world for so long?”

“...you seem to have a heavy heart when talking about these things. Are you okay?” Hiros suddenly asked, much to Marie's surprise.

“W-W-What?!? I mean… Yes, maybe?” Marie fumbled and almost tripped. Man, why does he say stuff like that out of the blue sometimes? It really just caused her to lose her entire focus in less than a second.

“Then let's talk about something else for a change. Where do you plan to have us go next?” He said, making Marie shake her head briefly. Then she slapped her cheeks to make her snap out of that embarrassed stupor.

She couldn't afford to be embarrassed now. She was supposed to lead him around the city and they were already almost at their next planned destination. It was time once again for Marie to show off again… and this time with hopefully 100% less things that don't go as planned.

“Oh yeah. I guess I haven’t told you. It’s one of my favorite places in the whole city.” Marie beamed, all four of her tails once again wagging excitedly. It also seemed like Hiros had to giggle at that, but Marie honestly didn’t care.

“Is that place that big park by any chance?” Hiros guessed and who could blame him? After all, Marie was clearly steering the two of them towards it. So Marie just returned a big smile and the two of them entered the big greenery in the middle of the city.

It was a beautiful day all things considered. Few clouds, sunshine, no rain, and not too cold or hot… just a perfect day to go out, and quite the opposite of what Marie expected considering her luck and clumsiness. But perfect weather only served to amplify her desire to make this date the best she could possibly have which in turn also visibly stressed her out more and more.

After all, if something goes wrong now, it is very clearly her fault and not someone or something else’s, since everything else seemed to line up perfectly.

"L-Look! Isn't the weather perfect for a stroll through the greenery today?" Marie asked to break her own nervousness, with limited success.

"It really is. Hey, would you mind if I asked you another question?" Hiros suddenly said as the two of them found a good place to settle down and unpack the picnic blanket Marie was carrying with her.

"Huh? What's up?" She replied as she turned to face him once again.

"In my world, parks are often created to bring more greenery into the big cities. But here, the kingdom might be big but not even remotely the size of a normal city of ours." Hiros said with his hand on his chin.

"... So why would we need parks?" Marie completed his question, to why he nodded slightly.

"I can think of three reasons off the top of my head." Marie continued, as her tails started wagging again. "First for kids to have a playground, second for monster girls who like natural spaces but don't want to leave the city, and third, for couples who want a quiet but open place~"

Marie had to giggle at that, to which Hiros nodded as a smile formed on his face. "That's as good a reason as any."

"Oh, that reminds me…" Marie fumbled as she dug into her bag, wanting to get something special out of the bag that seemingly grew more spacious the harder she tried. But she wouldn't be stopped!

"Tada~" She announced as she pulled out a small box and happily showed it to Hiros. Naturally he looked a bit confused, which was expected and why Marie proudly followed up with an explanation.

"I have been working together with a few Alraune researchers to create these little seedlings. We call them: Insta-flowers." Marie declared and opened the lid of the box to show Hiros the inside.

To the untrained eye those things might look like regular, albeit large seeds, but Marie knew their true nature. So she buckled down and planted them near their picnic blanket, then smiled at Hiros.

"These seeds might look normal, but I assure you, they are not. Just plant like 5 of these supercharged seeds…" she started, grabbing her water bottle and pouring a bit of the liquid onto the seeds. "give them a bit of water and… Bam!!!"

Marie looked like she was exaggerating with her words and gestures at first, but both could already see movement happening under the soil. Then flower heads started to peek up from under the earth, one after another, more and more, until their entire surroundings were filled by the most colorful of flower fields.

"See?" Marie beamed at him, extremely proud that her work paid off and her demonstration was successful. The most shocking thing to her was actually how much she wanted headpats from Hiros as a reward.

"Wooooow! This really is super beautiful. I can see a lot of people wanting to buy an instant carpet of flowers." He said, looking extremely impressed. "Just one question. Just how much ground do your flowers usually cover?"

"Huh? Only around 5 square meters or so. Why…?" and as she turned to look at her surroundings once again, Marie's face immediately got a whole lot paler.

The flowers didn’t stop sprouting. In fact Marie could even tell that the roots of the seeds were shaking up the earth from underground with how big they were growing, which also made it easy to follow how far they had traveled. And it was that exact size and growing speed that made Marie pale.

As the roots continued to spread rapidly underneath the soil, more and more flowers sprouted from beneath the ground, but that wasn’t all. For some reason, the roots spread in a very particular way that made it almost look like it was searching for something. And as soon as the roots crossed beneath the feet of a random guy that was also visiting the park, it became abundantly clear that it had found what it had seeked.

The roots shot out of the ground and straight into the guy's legs from multiple angles, pricing into them and seemingly intruding deeper and deeper into his body. He didn’t even have time to scream as his legs started to turn, affected by the seemingly endlessly long roots slithering into his body.

His legs began to change color, shifting into the same brown color as the roots that intruded them and then they started to split apart into countless long and root-like vines. After a while, one couldn’t even tell if the roots were flowing into his body or coming out of his body, as his entire lower body below his hips had been replaced by those vine-like roots.

The roots then moved to encase him as a whole quickly, making him only barely visible between the openings of the roots. Within the man’s skin began to change further, his skin quickly taking on a far greener tone all across his body. If Marie had to guess, then she would say that this was because it just gained the synthesizing properties of chlorophyll and took on more plantlike qualities. You know, things that normal skin cannot do.

Yet despite all that was happening to him, the man did not panic. In fact, he looked kinda relaxed. Even more, he seemed to enjoy when his skin further started to shift, rejecting all unnecessary body hair while severely reducing his body's muscle mass.

As he seemingly began to be nourished by the earth his form changed further as his entire frame became smaller, which also included his shoulders caving inwards, ribs shrinking in size, as well as his midriff becoming slender and smooth.

By now Marie could no longer deny it anymore: She had inadvertently created a monster girl transformation device once again and she wasn't happy about it. And the worst part, that guy wasn’t the only one, because those roots were attacking and fusing with basically every human they managed to get into contact with, and all of them displayed similar changes to the guy right in front of her.

Speaking of that guy, he was becoming more feminine by the second and it was only capitalized on as his hips drew outwards, inflating rapidly as to seemingly wanting to make up for the loss in his muscle mass or height. A good trade off, but one that didn’t exactly make him look more manly.

Even further, when he reached for his chest and seemingly gave off moaning sounds, it was clear that some of those underground nutrients were headed straight for his future breasts. And just as expected, his flat chest blossomed outwards, growing over the span of several seconds and multiple hearty moans into a mighty pair of perky breasts.

And, as to add some final touches to his new form, his hair grew out into long flowing locks decorated with beautiful flora and his face becoming cute as his eyes slightly enlarged, his lips inflated a bit to make them more kissable, and his jawline rounded out a lot to give him a very much natural beauty.

Speaking of him, the guy was probably better addressed as that girl by now, because as the root cage sank back into the ground and therefore Marie could have a good look at the person, she could very clearly see that she was no longer a man… considering that all of her clothes had been completely ripped to shreds during the transformation.

Though almost immediately after, Marie could tell that the fresh Alraune was starting to bask in the beautiful sunlight, seemingly wanting to take in as much as she could possibly manage. And as she did, flower petals started to grow from her most private spots, hiding her nipples and girly parts perfectly underneath them as well as sprouting some giant petals from all across her hips which spun upwards, making her look like a bud that was closing up.

That didn’t stay like that for long though, as after the petals had reached their full size, the petals opened up again, making it look like a giant flower had just blossomed with a beautiful girl stuck in the middle of it. Quite the beautiful sight to behold to be real.

“Wow…” Marie was shaken back to reality as Hiros let out a huge gasp of awe, making her stop looking at that one Alraune and start analyzing her surroundings. And what a view it was.

All around them, tons of giant flowers all bearing a single Alraune in the middle started to blossom all at once, making it almost look like a choreographed dance with how well those sights worked together.

She had expected her project’s failure to end in a mass panic this time, but instead she was met with a beautiful sight of unexpected flowers and a whole batch of Alraunes that looked like they were just on the verge of being lovey-dovey with the rest of them that were around them.

“I am not sure if that was intended, but that was the most pretty flower show I have ever seen.” Hiros added, making Marie's head snap back to look at him. She looked blankly at him for a good few moments, trying her best to figure out what the best response in this situation would be, until finally…

“It spread on a little bit larger scale than I anticipated, but I would say that the experiment overall was a success…?” Was what she chose to answer with, despite still sounding unsure of herself. Yet every doubt in her mind was washed away when Hiros gestured her to step closer.

So she did. Taking one step forward. Then another. Stepping over a root between them until…

“Uhhh~ Fuwaaaaa~” She could no longer control her mouth and started to let out the cutest of sounds as Hiros hand moved on her head and rewarded her in the most satisfying way for a fox girl. Headpats, headpats and more headpats.

Though that reminded her. That one root that shot through between them. Why didn’t it go for Hiros and turn him as well…?

Meh… who cares. All that matters was that he wasn’t transformed and her date wasn’t ruined. And that the flower show was a great success~

Part 3

“So we managed to get out in one piece.” Hiros laughed as the two of them left the park.

“Yup. Sorry about that…” Marie laughed weakly, though internally she was kinda down.

Their attempt at leaving really showed how badly Marie had messed up with that experiment. The moment they stepped on a flower, and there were a lot of flowers after this event, the moment either of them stepped on a single flower, because of their underground root network, every single Alraune all across the park turned to look at them. And what followed was a mixture of a dream and a nightmare.

The Alraunes didn’t complain, instead instantly recognizing Marie as a goddess and dashed towards her like curious tourists as fast as their roots could take them to take a look up close at the blue tailed kitsune. They praised her as ‘the savior of the park’ and ‘goddess of the world’ or what not, which very quickly made her eyes spin.

And then those girls actively started to flirt with her. Listen, Marie could appreciate a good set of boobs as much as the next girl, but she was currently on a date with, like, the one person she absolutely wanted to go on a date with. She would not succumb to Yuri on a day like thiiiiiiiiiisss!

Anyways, after a bit of fumbling on Marie's part and a well played statement of Hiros that might have caused some massive plant Yuri action by itself, but at least it created the opportunity to get away. And so they did, choosing not to look back at the interesting sounds that were coming from behind them. And when they finally got out, they couldn’t help but laugh with each other for how absurd that situation had become.

“Oh well, there are worse fates than being surrounded by beautiful flowers on all sides~” Hiros giggled, giving Marie a wide smile.

“Hope you weren’t looking at the others too much. Their boobs might be impressive but my hips are killer~” Marie replied, flinging her hips forward in an attempt to try and muster the same level of sass Hiros usually spoke with. And Hiros clearly enjoyed that reply.

“Excuse me, you two. Could I speak to you for a moment?” A female voice rang out to the two of them, making them turn to look at tall and very busty redheaded dragoness that stepped towards them. “The name is officer Celeste, I am with the royal guard. We were called because of the pretty obvious openly sexual Alraune gathering, that is clearly not child friendly and therefore needs to be disbanded. Do you mind answering a few questions since you two clearly escaped from the midst of the Alraune madness?”

“Uhm… yes…uhh…” Marie stumbled over her words. She expected many things, but not that the royal guards would show up. And especially not that someone as powerful as Celeste… Wait… Celeste?

“Uhm, hi Celeste. Do you remember me? I am Marie Arabi, from the ‘Monline tech’ company? We worked together in the name of the Queen twice already.” Marie said, hoping for the best that the two of them could get out of trouble without needing to answer too many questions.

“Oh! Wow! How did I not notice your signature four blue-black tails?!?” Celeste suddenly beamed, her face immediately lighting up as soon as she came to that realization. “That casual dress really makes you look like a totally different girl, and not in a bad way at all. What were you two up to in that… uhm… flowerfield of lewdness?”

Marie sighed, knowing that she had to tell the truth to some degree at least. Celeste was insanely good at snuffing out lies, so it was best to just tell her the truth in simple terms that were easy to misinterpret.

“Uhm…May I introduce you to Hiros? He is my date for today.” Marie said, gesturing to the man beside her which made Celeste’s eyes instantly go wide. “It’s a pleasure, officer Celeste.” Hiros politely added.

“Oh wow, the feeling is mutual.” Celeste responded, clearly taken aback by that fact. Was it so unrealistic that Marie was going on a date with a guy?

“Okay… I guess that means that you two were…” Celeste started and Marie nodded at her and gave her a bit of a pained smile. “We were taking a picnic break and wanted to enjoy the fresh air and flowers, but when they showed up, we just had to dive out of the park.”

“Say no more, I understand the situation perfectly.” Celeste announced, patting her humongous chest to make it bounce surprisingly much.

Also, no. No you don’t.

“Then I’ll take this situation from here with my squad. You two enjoy yourself. Sorry to keep you~” She chimed and started running into the park, waving at them wildly as she dashed off.

“Was great talking to you again!” Marie shouted back, giving her a small wave as well, as the dragoness disappeared into the park, which was more like a glorified flowerfield now. She then turned back at Hiros with a confused smile on her face. “I think I got us out of trouble.”

“That you did~ Good job~” Hiros laughed, which immediately brightened Marie’s mood again. And her tails began to waggle wildly again once he took a hold of her hand with his own afterwards.

It was such a small gesture, minimal effort, but it made Marie's world just a little bit brighter every time she got to hold Hiros’ hand.

“Where to next?” He asked with a smile on his face.

“Are you feeling hungry? Cause I reserved seats in a great restaurant I like a lot. We still have like 30 minutes, so we can take our time so that we aren't early.” She suggested, to which Hiros nodded. And thus, both of them went on their way, with Marie leading the way hand in hand.

The two of them arrived in the ‘Bronze Hand’, the restaurant Marie reserved places in, a bit too early, but it was no issue. The waiter gladly showed them to their table, a nice place towards the rear of the building with a good view into the city, a ceiling fan to counter the somewhat hot weather and romantic lighting, which was the perfect condition for a date.

“Fancy place.” Hiros let out as he took a seat and thanked the waiter who had given him the menu.

“I think the more accurate word would be ‘traditional’. But still no doubt my favorite restaurant in the entirety of Littara.” She replied, also nodding thankfully to the waiter, who flashed a smile at Marie really quickly, before excusing himself and hurrying off to another table.

“It's quiet, usually not too crowded, and has the best steak burgers the world has ever seen.” Marie continued, ending with a big smile. “What can I say? I am a foxy girl. I need my meat to function~”

“There was never any doubt in my mind.” Hiros laughed, starting the dinner moment on a very high note.

And to be real, Marie was once again frightened by how well everything was going. They ordered food, received their respective burgers only a few minutes later, which went by in a jiffy with how much fun those two had talking to each other. Getting to know each other's worlds, their differences and similarities was fascinating, but also getting to know Hiros a bit closer was something Marie just enjoyed very much.

“Very well, shall we start?” Hiros asked, pointing at the burgers in front of them, which actually reminded Marie of something. She actually had another product in her purse which she planned to have used at this very moment, but…

“Uhm…actually…” Marie stuttered, her tails stopping in their tracks and her ears falling low. She reached into her purse and pulled out a small paper container and showed it to Hiros in front of her.

“To be honest, I have been working on a new way to produce spices as well and wanted to share some of it with you as well. But considering how well my last few experiments went I actually don’t think that it's a good idea anymore…” She sighed, clearly discouraged by the events that happened prior that day.

“Hey, listen Marie…” Hiros spoke, slowly and clearly, reaching with his hands towards hers across the table. “I know how hard you work and how excited you were to come with me here today. Nothing can ruin this day anymore, it already was so fun that I will remember it for a very long time. Now, how about you give me that spice and let me test how great the fruits of your work are.”

“Uhm… uuu~” Marie was blushing. This was bad. What the heck! She didn’t at all expect Hiros to just say something like that out of the blue. She needed to cool off. She should just… “Ah… Sorry, i just need to head to the bathroom real quiiiiaaahHHH~”

Bonk

Marie tripped as she stood up too quickly, falling flat on her face right in front of the shocked looking Hiros.

Yep. That's it. She officially messed up. Marie must have looked so stupid right now. Maybe she should just continue to lie where she was and hope she would disappear…

Riiiiiiiiiiiippppp

PFFfffffffffffff~

“W-What was that…?” Marie said, lifting her head to look around what could have caused a noise like that, until her spice paper container landed right next to her, completely ripped to shreds.

Oh no. She held the thing in her hand when she tripped, didn’t she? Did she just fling the paper filled with experimental spices straight into the ceiling? No, even worse, into the ceiling fan? That would certainly explain why the bag was ripped up so badly.

“Wait! That means…” Marie let out, trying to get on her paws as fast as she could, but the calamity had already happened. Thanks to the fan, the shimmering powder she brought with her was now quickly and evenly spread across the entire building, filling the restaurant with a thin, even coat of shimmering mist.

The untrained eye might not have been able to even spot what had happened, but Marie knew that disaster was likely to strike any second now. Especially since she could tell that the spice landed on practically every single food item and person in the entire restaurant by now.

Most of the patrons didn't really react to that thin layer of dust, while some at least brushed it off of their clothes and then continued with their food normally without giving it another thought. Though things wouldn’t remain normal for long as a couple eating that exquisitely made chicken burger together began to change, making Marie gulp as her hunch had now been unfortunately confirmed.

One after another feathers started to grow on their arms, though they seemed to not mind, just continuing to eat even when their hands got larger and bulkier. Even when their fingers fused and nothing was left but two giant wings for arms, they didn’t stop. In fact, they seemed to enjoy their burger even more so.

Next their legs slowly but surely became scaled, growing thinner and lankier, though that didn’t mean that they were growing in size. In fact, the two of them were shrinking in size if anything, the man even more than the woman, until both were just a little bit smaller than the average person.

The pair yelped in unison as new tail feathers bursted out from their pants just above their butt, yet both only giggled afterwards for letting out the same sound at the same time. While they were busy being even more lovey-dovey than before, their clothing changed as well to be more open and free as their shirts lost their sleeves to make room for their new wings and their pants became shorter so as to not chafe their scaled feet.

And after their feet finished ripping their shoes apart with their new talons and both of their chest sizes increased just by a tiny bit, leaving them both with like B or C cups, the changes seemingly subsided. Now there were clearly only two female harpies sitting at a table flirting with each other.

Meanwhile at another table a woman that was eating some pork loin began gaining muscle mass at an astonishing rate. Her body as a whole started to increase in size as well while her arms and legs started to look ripped like that of an athlete in seconds. What also helped was that her skin just overall started becoming a lot darker, settling into a brown shade, though slightly inhuman shade.

Though most notably her lower canines suddenly became a lot larger, growing past her upper lips and looked like she was gaining a set of tusks which peeked out from her lips and helped her tear into her meal a bit easier with their sharp points.

She shimmied in her seat a bit, corrected her posture because now it was very clear that she was already over half a meter taller than she was a minute ago, which made the two harpies quickly look puny in comparison.

But growing so much came at a price, as her clothing almost ripped up completely, but thankfully finally also grew with her in size, then changed into a tank top and some fashionably ripped jeans to match with her new physique. Marie stared at the orc woman in shock for a while, but the now very tall and wild looking lady just continued to eat her meal in a very dignified manner, not really having slowed down since the start of her transformation. In fact, once again it didn’t even look like she noticed that anything was amiss.

At another table sat an office man who was enjoying quite a big steak in a way that made it seem like he had a long and hard day in the cubicle. But what caught Marie's eye was that he was clearly beginning to unknowingly grow fur under his suit, which already grew to the point where it stuck out from every opening of the suit it could find.

Just like the Orc woman his body was beginning to become larger, with his muscles beginning to bulge against his suit, straining it to seemingly impossible limits. However his height didn’t actually change all that much, probably because he already was quite a tall man to begin with.

Suddenly he almost knocked over his plate as his chest surged forward, growing through the alphabet faster than one would be able to count them. A-cup, B-cup, C-cup, D-cup… They just wouldn't stop, which also was something that transforming man seemed to have issues with, since his plate was now constantly threatened by his growing badonkers.

Riiiippp

Then with a somewhat suppressed “Mooo~” then man's hands shot towards his private parts, which because of his sudden and very powerful movement ripped his already strained suit right in the middle of his chest, which gave him a daring boob window for his roughly E-cup breasts. Though after what had just happened it was hard to continue calling this victim a man as well.

Riiiippp

Then followed her suit pants, ripping at the sides to reveal her thick and muscular bovine legs as well as the hooves she now sported at the end of them, since her shoes didn’t really stand a chance from the beginning.

But her clothes didn’t stay ripped for long, seemingly mending themselves according to the way they ripped apart. Her suit morphed into a blouse with just as much if not even more of a boobwindow, while her pants turned into a formal pencil skirt to match her top.

She briefly held her head like she had a headache, which was understandable, since there were clearly two bulgest forming on the top of her head. Just seconds later, two horns poked out of his head and continued to grow, while the rest of her face overall seemed to get a lot rounder and feminine than it was before.

And literally the only thing the woman had to say after going through all of that was that she would rather have an additional salad side dish to her meal.

And it wasn’t like those three tables were special or anything. There were people at like eight different tables, and while Marie couldn’t quite remember how many of them were originally human, none of them were now. They were all either Harpies, Orcs or Minotaurs.

Defeated, Marie got up from the floor and looked back at Hiros. “I knew it. I messed up once again… WAIT!!!” Before her face contorted in horror.

“I wouldn't call it a failure. In fact, that seasoning of yours is pretty freaking good.” Hiros said, happily holding his burger in his hand and munching away at it. The dust was still in the air, clean over their entire table, but Hiros seemingly didn’t do anything besides brush it off a bit, despite him having clearly seen what happened to the other people around the restaurant.

Marie could do nothing but stare at him in disbelief as she braced herself for the worst to befall the man in front of her.

…but nothing happened. He ate half of his burger, then three quarters, then finished it, and all the while nothing of interest happened to his body. She just watched him thoroughly enjoy the burger without any major event, which was more than a little strange to her.

“Jup, I can see why you recommended this place. The burgers are amazing, the fries are awesome too and your spice really was the perfect cherry on top.” Hiros let out nodding in approval. “But I feel like you should start with your burger too before it gets cold.”

“I don’t understand…” The flabbergasted fox girl slid back into her chair and further stared at her date for a little bit, before turning her attention to her now only lukewarm burger and decided to take a bite as well.

It was good. Way better than she was already used to, which was unsurprising. She had tested that special spice many times before and had always been impressed with how much it added to other kinds of meals. But this burger… this lukewarm burger she ate in total disbelief… might be the single best thing she has ever eaten in her entire life.

As the two of them reached the entrance to the building of ‘Monline tech’ Marie let out a sigh. The entire time she could only think about one thing: How was today so perfect?

She messed up multiple times, should have ruined like every single attraction those two visited and yet… she wasn’t punished. Like at all.

She would have loved to just pin it on Nagisa and say “Oh, the mighty goddess of darkness and Chaos wanted the date between her apprentice and her own brother to go well and therefore watched over them.”, but that wasn’t it either.

Marie could tell Nagisa wasn’t here. She wasn’t anywhere near, didn’t use any of her powers to alter any events or influence anything at all. Just nothing. In fact, it didn’t even seem likely that Nagisa knew this date was even happening in the first place.

So the two just entered Marie's company building while holding a conversation that was honestly heartwarming for Marie.

“Today was a lot of fun. We visited so many places and did so many awesome things that I honestly have a hard time deciding what my favorite part was.” Hiros let out with a big smile on his face and patted her on her shoulder, which prompted a big smile out of her as well. And he then asked. “Did you have a highlight today?”

“The entire day was a highlight. I didn’t even know that a day could be so perfect when so many things seemingly go out of control.” Marie answered with an innocent and sweet voice, then opened up the door to her office while flashing Hiros a huge smile. “I am happy to say that I loved every second of it.”

As the two of them walked through her office and into the room right next to it, they saw the big and personalized Toori gate Marie always used to travel between worlds. They stepped a bit closer, then looked at each other.

“It’s a bit of a shame that we didn’t have time for you to tour me around your company, but I guess we'll just have to postpone that until next time.” Hiros smiled, putting his hands at his hips as if to tease her a bit.

“Yes, but I might need to warn my employees that someone prone to spontaneously turning into a 8 meter long, multi-armed snake will be visiting.” Marie shot back, but with a much gentler smile. When Hiros suddenly…

“Fuwa~?!?” Was all the foxgirl could let out as Hiros hugged her out of nowhere and placed his hand on the top of Marie's head and patted her one last time for the day. And Marie, overflowing with happiness, just softly purred as she moved to hug her attacker back.

She wished they could stay like this for a good while longer, sadly time was running short. So Hiros let go of the fox girl and walked towards the gate, which Marie had activated to briefly connect their two worlds for a short while.

“I hope to see you again soon. At the very latest when Nagisa wants you to do something stupid again.” Hiros giggled, raising his hand to wave goodbye.

“Yeah, probably. But I do look forward to it. Until next time~” She said just as Hiros passed through the gate and disappeared without a trace. The portal then closed up shortly after, leaving the blue haired kitsune alone in the backroom of her office.

Though she wasn’t sad. Okay, maybe a little bit that it had to end, but she was just overall so happy that it didn’t matter. Her date, in her own opinion, was a full success on every level…

— Some time later —

“Hey Azalea, I need to speak with you for a moment.” An orange haired elf girl stepped into the lab where a certain fairy scientist was just working on what looked like a new potion. The fairy just turned around briefly and pulled up her goggles to look at her visitor briefly, before turning back to her craft.

“What does Nagisa’s new pet elf want from me at this hour?” Azalea let out slightly aggressively, though only because she didn’t really appreciate being interrupted in the middle of her work.

“PET?!? Excuse me? If anything, you two are my loose pets with how much I usually have to clean up after you.” The elf retorted, making Azalea giggle at her words. She then completely turned around and leaned against her table, seemingly giving the elf her entire attention.

"I mean… never mind.” The elf pulled back, shaking her head before continuing in a less emotional voice. “A bit ago there was a massive reality change in Codira in a single day. 63 people turned into Mermaids, 46 into Alraunes, and less than 10 people each into Harpies, Minotaurs and Orcs.”

“Pff, I've seen bigger changes. Why are you bringing this up to me?” Azalea answered with a smile, like she knew exactly how to take her opposition apart should she press the matter.

“Well, I do have my reasons.” The elf answered much to Azalea’s surprise. “I know that Marie was the cause of all those changes and also I stopped shaming you for your random whims of gods a long time ago. No, the reason I am here is because I detected a trace of a substance that I could track back into your lab. I know you have never been to Codira, so what was a potion of yours doing there?”

“How the hell should I know?” Azalea shrugged it off, no doubt answering honestly. But then continued while seemingly starting to think a bit more. “But I do know Hiros planned to go there and he had bought a potion off of me recently. The guy practically begged me to give him my strongest ‘transformation resistance’ boosting potion, so I had to sell it to him as a friend. That's most likely what you found.”

“Gotcha, makes sense. Thanks for telling me, your help is greatly appreciated, Azalea.” The Elf said, nodded to herself and walked towards the exit. “Now it's time to clean up the mess you made here. Why would you even turn people into… Ugh.. never mind.”

“More importantly, how the hell did you get into my house, Lauriel?!?” Azalea shouted after her and then the elf disappeared, making Azalea shrug, giggle to herself a bit and turn back to her work. After all, new potions don’t brew themselves, you know?

It's time for Marie's big date. With her having prepared for that day for months, surely nothing will go wrong, right?

…right?
