“Hi there. Have you been waiting long?” A random guy suddenly asked, startling Max who was just trying to calm himself down with a drink he brought with him. Which he promptly almost immediately sloshed all over the place, so that's a good start.

After quickly making sure that nothing of the drink had gotten on his clothes, Max looked back on the guy who had just asked him a question, although he was still unsure how to answer. He had never seen that guy before… at least, as far as he remembered. “Uhm… No, not that long.” He managed to get out. “Do I know you…?”

“Ahaha~ not directly, no.” The guy let out a soft laugh, scratching the back of his head. “No, my name is Robert and I’ve been a priest of Nagisa’s for a bit now. I believe she told us both to meet up together here, in front of the village entrance, today, correct?”

“Ah. Yes, that was why I was waiting. My Name is Max, nice to meet you.” Max replied, glad that the random person Nagisa sent his way turned out to be very friendly. At least now the shock of getting teleported seemed to cool down a bit. “Do you know where we are, Robert?”

“Nope, no clue.” He answered immediately, making Max look at him in complete confusion, though Robert only giggled. “Every meeting is somewhere different. Of course I have never been here before. But guessing from what Nagisa told us, this seemed to be a traditional village with many shrines and such. I don’t know what she wants us to do here though.”

“Do you wanna go in and find out?” Max asked, trying to sound a bit more confident as the two of them entered the village together. Though the moment they stepped inside, they immediately noticed unexpected sights all around them.

“What the… I thought this was a shrine village or something. Why are all the shrines built up like attractions?” Max asked, looking at Robert a bit confused, but then remembered that Robert also probably didn’t have a clue.

“I don’t know. Seems strange if you ask me. Why does visiting a shrine cost money here?” Robert answered, saying exactly what Max had already expected, except that he smartly added while walking towards a local man. “But we can ask about it. Excuse me, good sir. My good friend and I came from far away and we really wanted to see the shrines. Do you mind telling us why they are all closed up behind a paywall?”

“Oh, I am glad you asked then. Have you two heard of the group ‘We-Wiz-Wizards’? We have found a way to bring all those mythical creatures into reality and are now offering the village shows with all of their favorite shrine guardians.” The weirdly dressed man answered with a confident, but business-like smile on his face. “Are you interested in seeing them close up?”

“Why yes. That would be awesome.” Max blurted out, though he was pretty sure that his excitement was understandable. After all, besides that portal magic Nagisa used to get him here, he had actually never seen magic or a mythical creature ever before. Robert however looked a bit more skeptical for a moment, but ultimately seemed willing to go along with it.

“Great, then follow me. I work here so I can give a bit of a ‘back entrance tour’, if you want.” The man smiled once again and led the way, walking towards the back of one of the many shrines that stood towards the entrance of the village. Since neither Robert nor Max had any idea where exactly they were headed, they just more or less followed him quietly.

“Come inside. The show is about to begin, you know.” The man gestured as he opened up a backdoor, making the two of them briefly look at each other. “Is it fine that we enter this thing from the back without paying? Isn’t that kind of unfair to the other guests?” Robert asked, his worry more than understandable. While Max wasn’t exactly the type of person to turn down free stuff, this whole thing just seemed a bit sketchy. And Robert seemed to agree, since added while silently muttering. “Let’s see what you are really up to…”

“Nah. Don’t worry about it. If it makes you feel better, you can even help me a bit with my work in exchange.” He said as all three of them slowly walked into a well lit room that looked a bit like a mixture of a classic office and a laboratory. The walls were all white and there was a giant desk on the side of the room that looked like it was overseeing the whole thing. Honestly not exactly what someone would expect when hearing the phrase ‘inside of a shrine’.

“Wow~ This looks so modernized.” Max exclaimed, breath taken by the view. Then Robert turned towards their guide and asked. “So… How can we help you?”

“Oh, that's really simple.” The man said, suddenly sounding a lot colder. “Just stand right there. You know, our company is always in need of some more kitsune dancers.”

With a snap of his fingers, a magic circle formed under Robert and Max. It glowed and hummed faintly, having a marking of a girl with several fox tails forming under them.
“Hey, whats-!” Max was caught off guard by this and the sudden strange sensations he was feeling were not helping matters.

Robert didn’t exactly expect something like this, but he did flirt with the idea. However, unlike Max, he remained calm and sat on the floor, his legs crossed. He focused his mind and began to pray lightly. Both of their hair had already reached to the mid point of their backs, with Max’s hair changing color into a bright red. Robert’s changes came at a slower pace and he seemed to only be transforming into a girl, while Max had already grown a few fox tails.

“Robert! How can you be so calm!? What’s even happening to us?” Max panicked. Robert opened up one of his eyes and looked at his friend. He let out a sigh.
“Come on. It’s not so bad~,” Robert said, standing up and cracking his knuckles.
“W-what do you mean?”

“Max, you really just need to calm down. We might be powerless against this guy, but that doesn’t mean that we automatically lose against his magic. It’s all about asking the right person, right?” Max had to blink a few times thinking about what Robert meant, though when he saw Rober close his eyes, looking like he was praying, a lightbulb went off above his head.

Robert slowly opened his eyes and a smile crept on his face as he saw a very familiar dark mist flowing around his feet. So he stopped his praying pose and slowly but surely started to walk towards the wizard, every single step of him seemingly shaking the room more than the last.

The magic still seemed to affect him as his figure still got a lot daintier, with his hips getting larger and boobs growing on his chest, yet somehow, the whole change didn’t seem to go as the Wizard was anticipating.

Rather than Roberts' body getting more refined, it became more wild, with tattoos appearing all over her upper body. Instead of his steps becoming more graceful, they became more unpredictable and intimidating, especially when six additional legs sprouted from his hips while a spider-like thorax grew from her already large behind.

And to top it all off, the moment the wizard thought his manhood disappeared, Robert's skin turned a good shade darker, almost demonically so. Horns shot from the new girl's head as her hands turned into dangerous claws, which she immediately used to attack the barrier that was supposed to hold any monster in until the end of the transformation. But it was very clear that Robert… no… that Roze was no ordinary monster girl.

Clirrr

Just a single swipe of her claws was enough to shatter the barrier completely and make the Wizard stumble and fall onto his ass, which only caused the demonic spider girl Roze to smile even harder. “It seems that your plan has failed, my dear Wizard boy. I never really thought much about ‘playing with my food’ before, but now…”

The wizard shuddered as Roze licked her lips, but then he quickly reached for the staff in his pocket and fired a very bright light at the Spidergirl. “Ha! Take that! Now I just need to… Whoaaaa~”

And just like that, the Wizard lost the ground beneath his feet, getting lifted into the air by something soft that wrapped around his waist. It seemed like the other guy he planned to transform managed to sneak behind him and was now holding him in place with his kitsune tails.

“So this is what it's like to be a kitsune~ Sweet~” A clearly feminine voice rang out behind him, graceful and upbeat just the way the wizard planned for her to end up as. Which also made him see a way out of this situation.

“You! New Kitsune! Obey your master and free me! Then get rid of this demonic traitor of a spider!” He commanded, knowing exactly that the spell he used forced her to obey his every command. Yet…

“No~ I don’t think I will. In fact, I, Max the kitsune… nah, that sounds wrong. Let’s go with Scarlett, the Lamia, will show you that she is a ‘traitor’ as well!” The Kitsune laughed from behind him, when suddenly the grip of her tail changed quite a bit.

Her tail suddenly got longer and longer, wrapping around more and more of his body while the soft and fluffy fur of her tail seemed to recede as well, while red snake-like scales started to grow all around it as a replacement.

Despite not even being affected himself, the Wizard certainly was the most confused out of the pack of three that stood in the room, yet he snapped out of his confusion when he felt a soft breath and whispered right next to his ear. “Am I not a bad girl as well, my dear wizard~? Hisssss~

“Oh.” Was all Scarlett let out as the wizard suddenly fainted in her grip. She wasn’t sure if it was her tight grip or her intimidating voice that caused this, but she did know that it was probably for the best if she just laid him on the floor for now.

“Hahaha! Nice one, ‘Scarlett’. This was your first time in another form, right?” Roze asked, nonchalantly kicking the unconscious wizard that laid on the floor with one of her legs with a force great enough to make him turn around on his face.

“Whoa. I mean, indeed it is.” Scarlett answered, impressed with the sheer strength of the spider girl Roze. Though honestly, she was more impressed with herself at the moment that she couldn't help but speak her thoughts out loud. “I still can’t fathom how I can move so dignified, elegant and deadly at the same time. And also, did this kimono just manifest out of thin air.”

“It do be like that sometimes.” Roze answered, giveing her junior a brief chuckle. “Nagisa turned you into a Lamia filled to the brim with elegance, and me into an Ushi-oni ready to crush anything. It’s like good cop, bad cop… but Nagisa style.”

“So… what are our plans with this… swindler?” Scarlett asked, instinctively circling her tail around his face planted body the moment he let out a groan. Roze however just let out an evil laughter. “Isn’t it obvious? We are going to have a nice long chat with this guy~ Let’s see if his body stays in one piece after we are done with him~”

… meanwhile somewhere else …

“Sir. The kitsune shrine has fallen out of our control. Litterally everone that worked there, be it our staff or even our captured slaves have turned into spider girls or Lamia’s and refuse to take orders!” A man announced desperately.

“What!?! How did that happen?” An intimidating bosslike person asked in return.

“I have no idea! But they keep mentioning a person by the name of Nagisa and… Wait.” Suddenly a siren went off, causing everyone to look around panickingly. “Intruders! Someone is breaking into our base!”

“How did they…? Grrr… no matter. Capture them immediately!”

“Yes sir!”

“Not sure how they are able to challenge us, but no matter. I am ready for them.”

It’s that time again, which means the priests get to visit a brand new location with Nagisa. And this time, it's just a peaceful and traditional shrine village, where many mythical beasts get worshiped. There is definitely nothing shady going on in these shrines, especially nothing that would need a demon spider and a graceful snake to resolve.
