“Ughhh… I am so beat…” Rit exclaimed, collapsing face first on their bed with a very loud thump. Red just giggled as he watched her with loving eyes, Rit just sinking more and more into the bed as all of her muscles relaxed.

“It was a rough day. A lot of things happened, but I am happy things worked out for all of us.” Red spoke as he sat down on the bed next to Rit, and gently patted her head, making her purr happily in the bedsheets, barely audible. But that's all he needed to hear to make his entire being calm down from all the stress and action that went down not even an hour ago.

“Did we finally win? Have we finally killed Shaisandan once and for all?” Rit suddenly asked, the visible sadness and frustration not escaping Red in the slightest. Though as much as he wanted to reassure her that he would never come back, Red couldn’t do it. At least not fully.

“We managed to achieve a lot of things today in the mines. We managed to find a way to weaken Ruti’s blessing, we found out a ton about the hero’s blessing in general, got to the bottom of the ancient ruins and defeated Shaisandan again.” Red spoke, gently patting Rits head some more. “I think we did more than enough to deserve some rest today, don’t you think?”

“Yeah… I just hope this damn six handed menace doesn't come back again…” Rit sighed, nuzzling herself more into the bedsheets again.

“Huh? What's this?” That's when Red noticed something on Rit’s shoulder, pulling her shirt up just enough to take a look at it. “A red spot? Doesn't look like a wound. Did you get hit by something there?”

“Where? On my shoulder? Uhm… I don't think so? At least not with an attack worth remembering.” Rit tried to take a look at it, though moving her head didn't exactly help her much to get a glimpse. “I was beat up pretty badly down there, but I thought we healed all the wounds. Between healing hands and Theodoras healing spells, I thought I was in top form again.”

“Hmm… it doesn't really look like any sort of poison or wound I am familiar with. But just to be sure, it might be a good idea if tomorrow we go to the undine spring and ask her for help.” Red pondered out loud, to which Rit lightly punched him.

“You worry too much.” Rit giggled, dragging Red with her into the bed. “Look, it doesn't hurt and it's just a teeny tiny thing. I am sure that by tomorrow it will be all gone again.”

“You’re probably right. Alright, lets get some shut eye. It's been a long day.” Red chuckled, finally relaxing and letting Rit fully embrace him with her hugging. And she didn't waste a second to hug him even more.

“Hmm~ Good night Red~ Ehehe~”

“Good morning, Red… Fuuuuwa~” Rit yawned as she stepped down the stairs, while Red was already cooking their breakfast.

“Good morning Rit. Did you sleep okay?” He asked in return.

“Not awful, but not good either. It honestly feels like I caught myself some severe muscle aches from yesterday.” Rit circled her shoulders and tried to move around her arms, although that only led to more pain. “Can you take a look real quick when you have a second?”

“Let me see.” Red didn’t waste a second to come and look at Rit’s arms, and he was shocked at what he found. Both of her arms were visibly swollen, to the point where they even looked larger and thicker than before. Her muscles were in a constant state of tension, and it didn't look like she was doing it on purpose.

And worst of all, the redness that looked more like a rash rather than a wound now that he had a bit more light to look at it more closely, had pretty much spread over her entire left shoulder and even appeared on her right shoulder as well.

“Okay, there are no two ways about this. This looks like a curse and one that I don’t know about yet. We should definitely have Undine have a look at this.” Red declared, visibly distressed.

“...after breakfast.” Rit replied, pointed at the scrambled eggs Red was just about to finish preparing.

“After breakfast. Okay.”

Red didn’t know how to break the news to Rit at all. Rit was in a mixture of pain because of whatever that curse was and bliss because she is Rit and she was eating, but that wasn't what had Red on edge. Rit was changing, and right in front of Red’s eyes.

She was definitely just eating her eggs, like she always has, but now, with every bite her entire body grew in size, lifting her head increasingly further away from the table. But it wasn’t just her height getting affected, but especially her arms, which grew even thicker as the muscles practically bulged out of them. Not to mention that the red rash had started spreading up her neck and even down to almost her fingers.

“Finished~ Puhaa~ That was good~” Rit leaned backwards, though Red had a hard time being pleased that his cooking impressed the love of his life. Right now he had different problems.

“Rit, I really don't want to press you, but we should go. Now!”

“Huh? Okay, okay. I’m ready!” She responded, thankfully not really putting up any more resistance to the idea. Though the fact that she was taller than Red when she stood up was more than a little concerning for both of them.

“My arm… It feels so heavy and light at the same time.” Rit spoke as the two of them ran, marveling a bit at the sheer size of her limb.

“Whatever it is, it seems to be spreading fast.” Red added, nervously watching as the red color traveled up Rits cheeks, starting to overtake her face. “Do you feel weird aside from your obvious size and arm… weirdness?”

“Not much else. Although there is a bit of pressure on the side of my heaaaaahhh!” Rit suddenly came to a stop, holding her head with her two massive hands. Just as her head fully turned red, two massive boney horns slowly pushed themself out from the sides of her skull, and pointed downwards. With gritting teeth, Rit tried to stop them, yet was powerless to prevent them from growing until they were long event to reach down to her chin.

“H-Horns?!? Am I becoming a demon?!?” Rit grabbed the crescent shaped horns on the side of her head, although she couldn't really do much to get rid of them. A certain feeling deep within her told her that breaking them would be very, very painful for her.

“I don't know. Like I said, we have to search up…”

“Wait…” Rit suddenly stopped, her eyes going wide. “I think I just understood what's going on.”

“You do?” Red looked even more shocked than Rit. “Have you seen something like that before?”

“You know that when someone receives their blessing, they instinctively know what sort of a blessing it is?” Rit asked, picking herself off the ground looking even heavier and taller than she did even a few minutes ago.

“Yes…?”

“I can feel my Spirit Scout blessing weakening and something else starting to take hold. It was very quiet before, but it's getting more noticeable by the moment. I think this isn't a curse. I think it's another blessing.”

“Gotcha.” Red looked around as he heard that, checking out the surroundings. “If you say it's a blessing, then we might actually have a second option. Ruti has a medicine to weaken her blessing. We are just outside of the city, it's not too late to turn back. Should we go for the medicine or the high spirit?”

“I think we should Hnnn… Hnnn~” Rit started breathing heavily for a few moments, her body visibly pulsing. With every breath she took, her torso seemed to expand, getting wider and more rugged. The outline of incredible abs started to show through her clothes, which somehow still hold on, looking like they were shifting along with her just enough to not get torn to shreds. Which both of them were internally thankful for.

“Ahh…” When Rit’s cramps finally let loose, her body had nearly doubled in width, her shoulder width dwarfing that of even Red, with her abs looking almost comically over the top. Not even Danan, their Martial Artist friend, had anywhere near a package that compared to Rit now, and she was still having two very large orbs on her chest that somehow both looked appropriate and way too big at the same time.

“Good… Good thing my clothes still hold up… Ahaha…” Rit weakly laughed, trying to get her footing again, looking like a behemoth of a lady almost double the height of Red by this point. “Undine. We should go for Undine. We shouldn't try to treat something that we know too little about. Because for all we knew Demons didn’t have blessings, yet every fiber of my being tells me that this is a demonic blessing. So we have to ask someone who knows more than us.”

“Alright. Can you move?” Red asked, concerned.

“I think so.” Rit tried to reassure, and indeed, the two of them managed to run a bit further no issue. Although it did feel as if every one of Rits steps was sending heavy shockwaves through the ground.

“This feels so weird…” During their running, Rit started making an expression, not really of pain, but more of minor discomfort.

“I am surprised you are not more bothered by this.”

“I am. But blessings are very hard to actively dislike a blessing. One more reason to believe this is actually a blessing, I guess.” Rit laughed it off weakly.

“Wait!” Red suddenly stopped, with Rit not far behind him.

“I can feel it too. We are not alone.” Immediately both were on high alert, trying to get a feel who they were up against. There were two Owlbears, one on each of their sides which both Rit and Red were immediately aware of. And the Owlbears seemingly too, since they seemingly gave up on the sneak attack plan at that exact moment.

“Fall back!” Red declared, drawing his sword, blocking a claw swipe of one of the bears.

“I can fight! Don’t worry about me!” Rit retorted, catching the arms of the bear midair, challenging it to a contest of strength directly.

“You shouldn’t fight! Fighting usually only strengthens the blessings!” Red shouted, dodging to the side, causing the Owlbear to miss with another attack. All the while Rit was still growing taller and taller, already trumping the bear in height and now actively forcing it down to the ground due to her immense strength and weight. “Forget it! I am not going to leave you fighting alone! Gah!!!”

Suddenly, both of Rit’s entire arms looked like they were splitting apart, yet without any of them losing mass in the slightest. It was like there had been duplicates of her arms being stored inside of the original ones, and now they were moving away, practically duplicating her massive shoulders, just moving further up and back than her original.

Yet the moment she felt like she could control those extra appendages, she punched the Owlbear to the ground, being now undeniably larger than the bear ever could be. Though just as she wanted to give the finishing blow, the same feeling overtook her once again, and her arms split off for a second time.

This time, the new pair moved downwards, creating a third pair of shoulders in the middle of her waist with another arm which jagged muscular shape was probably unrivaled in Zoltan and which thickness was now around the size of Red himself. The thought that Rit’s arm alone could ever be bigger than Red himself gave her shudders.

“Rit! Are you okay?!?” Red asked, having just taken down his own Owlbear and sheathing his sword again.

“Well… I have good news. I think I just figured out what that new blessing is.” Rit replied, her menacing figure standing up from on top the bear she slayed with her own bare hands.

Her sheer height was roughly three times that of Red, her stomach was more chiseled than Red had ever seen, yet her chest was still noticeable and able, even in that state. Her six arms all look practically identical, each of them were almost comically muscle packed, with each of them practically the size of an entire human, if not bigger. From top to bottom, her skin was also completely red, not a trace of her once creamy skin remaining. And with two crescent shaped horns on the top of her head, it was abundantly clear what she had become.

“...I think I somehow got the Asura Demon’s blessing.”

"I think we might need a new entrance," Red mused, glancing at Rit with a fond smile then back towards the door that would barely fit her in if she was half her current height. "Maybe just make the entire thing a bit more spacious in general."

Rit nodded thoughtfully, her expression a mix of amusement and slight concern. "And we should definitely tell everyone what happened as soon as possible. We really don't need  rumors flying around," she added, letting out a sigh. "We were lucky the guard believed us so quickly."

"Good thing I knew him quite well," Red smirked, gently placing a hand on one of Rit's massive arms. "But for now, we should try to figure out how to get you inside our home again. Not gonna lie, I think it would be easier for me to carry our home than to get inside it as I am now."

“That might be true…” They both chuckled softly, Rit carrying the apothecary on her back like a bag, something that both were thinking simultaneously.

"That reminds me. Shaisandan had the ability to shapeshift and disguise himself as a human," Red pondered, his mind already racing with possibilities. "Do you have these skills too?"

“It’s hard to say if those were skills from his blessing or just something he was uniquely able to do. I haven't really seen anyone else pull off a transformation as convincingly as him, as much as I hate to praise him.” Rit sighed, reaching up with two of her arms, almost touching the roof of the apothecary when she stretched fully. “Would love to have it though. As much fun as touching roofs is, there is no denying that it's inconvenient in other ways.”

“Yeah. I think for now we should ask Gonze to build a makeshift mini place where you can at least sleep for the night. The night sky might be pretty, but I don't want you to be outside when it starts raining.” Red suggested.

Rit nodded in agreement, relieved to have a practical solution in sight. "That sounds like a plan. And what about everyone else?" she asked, her tone tinged with concern. "How do you think they… Ruti… will react to... this?" Her gaze swept over her towering, demonic form. “I mean she is a hero?”

Red's expression softened, his entire arm wrapping tightly around her hand. "I wouldn’t worry too much. Ruti is one to always listen to us first before she acts. And the others… they'll come around," he assured her, his voice steady and reassuring. "We'll just explain everything to them. They know us—no way they won't understand."

“Gotcha…” Rit said, suddenly a lot more shy and timid than she was a few moments ago. “Say, Red. No one is watching us right now, right?”

“I… don’t think so? This apothecary isn't exactly in the middle of town.” Red replied, not sure what she was getting at.

“And you are pretty strong, right? Like you could lift a boulder in a pinch, right?” Rit continued to ask weird questions, pressing two fingers together shily on three different pairs of arms. Though by that point Red had an idea of what she was getting at.

“Yeah, I’d survive a boulder. Someone could try and crush me with six and it would have nothing on me.” It wasn’t exactly true, but it was what Rit needed to hear, so Red was more than willing to deliver.

Then, for a few seconds, Rit fell into utter silence. Red just looked at her with a loving wide smile, which gave her the courage to speak up again. “Could I… hug you again? I haven't had a hug all day and I am really missing it.”

“Of course.” Red said, opening up has arms welcomingly. “Take me whenever you are ready.”

It didnt even take a full second before Rit’s face lit up in the most beautiful smile Red has ever seen and she grabbed Red off the ground and practically smashed him into her cleavage, hugging him tightly with all six of her arms. She hugged him so tightly in fact, that an outsider would probably not even be able to see Red anymore, but neither of them cared.

“You are so soft now~” Rit moaned, nuzzling herself to red as if he was a doll. “Or maybe I have gotten too hard now~”

“Hey~ You are still soft in certain places.” Red retorted, looking up from the middle of her cleavage with a big loving, dopey grin.

“Pervert.” Rit giggled, then proceeded to hug Red even harder than before. “But you are my Pervert.”

Red didn't didn’t mind, enjoying the hug of his beloved Rit to the fullest. After all, he had the perfect girl living with him. Whether she was five meters tall, had six arms, could crush boulders with a snap or was a red skinned demon mattered very little.

Because this was just a new chapter of Red’s slow life in the countryside, now with an asura girlfriend to always be by his side. And the two of them were going to enjoy that life to the fullest…

With that six armed demon finally defeated for good, sure we won't see another Asura for the foreseeable future. Right?
