Hey guys! We got a few new people and a couple of you put a pretty substantial amount of money down on the Patreon! I just want to point out we charge by video and usually release about ten videos a month, so be careful we don't over-charge you.  Remember to set a spending limit or adjust your donations accordingly!

Attached to this post, we've got asset files for the SiY project. That's our backgrounds, the music files, the script, Petirep's amusing reference sheets, and everything we could think of that doesn't need a special program to open. This will fill in for the background and music file for the month! There's a lot to look at and I know a few people have been asking to get their hands on the music box stuff Ved composed.

In monkey news, we're proceeding along with design for Banana Republic. The picture above is what we'd like them to look like. We've been debating about a new name for the series - I like "Simiantelligent", personally, but as we work with Toon Boom we're finding ourselves feeling on shaky ground since none of us are formally experienced with the program.

That said, we've definitely hit the support level we stated would get us monthly Gym of the Romantic Journey episodes, so Norman and I have started talking about what we'd like to do with that. There's some good potential to grow from here, but one thing we certainly can do is re-start the series and utilize the whole team we've brought together to make it a lot better. Initially Gym was just myself and Norman working on it, plus voice actors, but now that we've got background design and more people fluent in animation, we may be able to transfer those rigs over to Toon Boom and get some practical experience by kicking off a new season of the series with that program.

For one, Gym is designed to be cost-effective. The characters are easy for one person to work with and can certainly be managed by a team. With background artists we can go a lot more places, do more things. We've also been talking about DVDs and ways we can stretch this out long-term into something sustainable.

Regardless of what we do, we are planning to do at least one animation in Toon Boom before we get completely in gear with our monkey stuff. We want to know what we're doing before we start throwing a ton of time and money into something really ambitious. I've got seven scripts and a piece to camera written for the monkeys! It may be time to pull out my noisy, well-beaten keyboard and write yet seven more for Gym! Or at least one story about Paw Patrol or the Big Bad Wolf or something - we've got a list of cartoon ideas at this stage.

Whoops. Looks like I had an issue with the file attachment. It should be there now. If not, it should be temporarily available on dropbox here:

I love the note on that style sheet; I probably shouldn't have laughed as many times as I did. And that music really is nice! I'm presently surprised your already considering on restarting Gym of the Romantic Journey! Out of curiosity, are you still considering renaming it?
