In reality, certain elements will burn in particular colors. Carbon burns in the typical red, orange, and blue we most commonly see, but copper will burn in a shade of green. Usually if you're seeing a color outside the normal you should panic, because it means you're burning some unsafe chemical compound and you may be in trouble if you don't know what that compound is.
