We played a game of "Among Us" on the Discord last night. I've seen a lot of these types of games and I think there's no disputing that they're the most fun when you can communicate directly with everyone and know people well enough to banter and pull off weird tricks of confidence. Although my favorite trick so far is doing one of these where the word "Innocent" was printed in the upper left corner of the screen, and you'd catch the bad guy by demanding that they spell "Innocent" backwards.

It's right there in the corner, right? You should be able to just read it backwards! That is, unless you're not innocent! We had to ban that trick after the first time it nailed a guy. We still used it every time a new person joined us.

In a previous game night we played several rounds of an FPS in this genre called "Deceit". It was also a lot of fun, but I will admit creates a skill barrier where having a good handle on an FPS gives you a really big advantage over those who don't. "Among Us" keeps it focused more on your ability to blend in and act like the other players.
