In the game this comic is based on, I think we actually did come across a world-power sword that a crazy was wielding, but they were so far beyond us in ability that after she killed one party member and knocked out basically everyone else, we didn't have the spirit to really refuse her. We abandoned the whole thing and let NPCs deal with, and I'm not sure how that turned out for the world at large.
