I've been working hard on the skeleton of the game and finally have something constructed enough to demonstrate. It's not a lot, but you can check out the battle system, talk a little with an elf, and push a box around.

PLEASE try to break the build, and let me know what you did to cause glitches if you find any. If you have questions, don't hesitate to ask!

The executable is attached to this post. There's one for MAC and PC - I don't know anything about MAC, however, so I hope that file contains all you need.

Looks promissing. The visuals are cute and the currently established content works ok. The depression elf is passed from the front at a certain paralell vector when he should be passed from behind. Other than that i cant wait to do more play testing.

If you want to make it clear to the player how many moves they have due to their speed, you could consider a system like Cosmic Star Heroine where the turns are shown on a timeline.
