This page had two hurdles. The first is that mashing Lady Gaga together with Abba and then making it an old woman isn't as straightforward as you might imagine on paper, because while they're music stars and have certainly done some unusual looks, it turns out there's not a strictly iconic outfit to use like with, say, Michael Jackson's suit. So I wound up throwing some things that looked amusing for an old woman to wear.

The second hurdle was that I wanted the chest to look saggy, but not voluptuous, so of all the things that took the most evolution from sketch to finished comic, Abba Gaga's boobs were probably the most altered. There's a fine line between "these are big" and "these are so ancient they hang to her knees". Hopefully I've got the lumpy old woman look down as the stand-out feature.

In other news, I've been a little freelance on the side lately, my kid is learning to walk and has been an absolute handful during the day, I'm working on the next Radio Skyline, and Copy has been shoring up a good buffer for the next book of Kit! A lot hasn't come out this week, but it feels like it's been a productive month behind the scenes.
