Hey guys! This month's Patreon Pack features Peel Off playing in the autumn leaves, something I figured would be nice given the season. 1080 and 4k versions of the wallpaper are in the zip file attached.

We're nearing the end of the year, and with that some reflection on how we did in 2017. We've had our ups and downs. A bit of a downward trend in viewership as things on Youtube change, but survivability has been stable thanks to an increase in the number of patrons supporting us! We lost a few of the bigger spenders by admitting we're winding down from MLP, but a lot of new folks have picked up that slack, and I think the higher population number means we'll be more stable going forward.

But speaking of MLP, I'm expecting to have NAS Part 2 completed this month. We have maybe 2,000 frames of animation left to go, which may sound like a lot, but in reality it's only about 80 seconds of footage left. I originally found this script to be pretty funny, but after hours and hours of hearing the dialogue six million times played over and over, I can only hope through my fugue of repetition that everyone's going to love it. It was all really funny a month ago, I swear!

We also discussed Jaycartoons in our team meeting. Until the end of the year at least, there's still more to this whole "Red Base One" saga that I'm enjoying. Jay, who wrote the original comics, has been a verbal help in deciding what we're doing with this stuff. Once the year ends, we may change track and do a new weekly series featuring more complex characters and sets, but with a similar format. If I hear any consistent criticism about Jaycartoons, it's that it looks simple, no matter how complex it may actually get, so people regard it as being cheap and not worth watching.

I'm not sure if it'll be worth it in the scheme of Youtube to increase the amount of work going into a weekly animation series, but it will produce more visually interesting results and it's not worth falling into a rut! Aside from that, I noticed that since starting Gym of the Romantic Journey, I've started a new animation project every year, and if I keep doing that it'll be four years of the pattern, which is neat even if not necessarily beneficial. We'll see how it goes. The key thing going forward will be to get new viewership and grow! Every year I learn a little more, get a little faster at the old stuff and more polished with the new.

:D hahaha Peel Off is really cute here! Like in the old days when you could just frolic around and enjoy the environment! The effect on the leaves is really neat.

Peel off would be great for disposing of leaf piles...
