I've started working on the NAS intro, and since it's a minute long with no dialogue, I intend to make it very information dense on a visual level.  This is quite ambitious, and a thing I've been consciously avoiding in the past because it's common knowledge that Youtube's system won't reward or promote high-effort content. This one minute theme song probably won't even register with them because it's short.

But recently I've been seeing news that Max, the guy responsible for the .mov series, is going to wind up on the streets soon. That's especially grim news because he was playing the Youtube game, and playing it effectively. To me, it sends a message. What's the point of playing things safe when you're an animator? You can be doing everything all wisdom says you should be, but the Youtube system is just toxic to talented people, and although their program won't reward hard work, living, breathing humans will.

NAS is going to be animated for real. Sink or swim. If it fails, I'll find another job, and I'll be neither the first nor the last animator to be in the unemployment line. The same thing will be true of every project. That's just what the entertainment industry is like.  It's going to take a lot of overtime, but so help me, I'll make something people look at and I hope I'll make them think it's cool.

With models this cute it makes me wonder: are you going to still be doing the voices yourself?

Cute! Completely different tone from MAS. Can't wait to see the first episode ^^ Sucks about the creator of .MOV series. His stuff rocks. Hope things work out for him and you can keep afloat with these ideas.
