Some kind of new content, it's not really a still frame neither a real animation...so let's say it's an animated artwork :)
Side Note :
So... It's been a while since I wanted to dive deep into blender and spend times on lurning some more advanced lighting/scene compositing technics. Animation is an important part of my work but lately I felt like it was very frustrating for me to put a lot of effort on animation and really struggle on the render part. I was kind of avoiding the process, hoping when I would have a better computer I could focus more on the visual quality... But lately I realised that I was kind of dissapointed by my own work compared to some other people's work that are just oustanding ! This is why I've decided to do a project where this time I would focus a lot more on the lighting/compositiong/camera angle etc... and Render part rather than animation. But always with the idea to be able to apply it on my animation workflow !
I don't want to go deep into details but keep in mind that still image and animation are two very different worflow ! (This is mainly why you see a very big quality gap between animations and still frame.)
So the idea for this project was to bring the quality very close to a videogames cinematics and I can say I'm pretty much happy with the result ! I spent a lot of times on this scene trying to figure out how a bunch of properties was working. I followed online courses about cinematics lighting and camera movement. I spent a big part on lurning how to master and push Evee render engine to bring out the best of it! Even on an old computer and without having to wait days on rendering a single scene. I also spent some times on color-corrections and visual FX polishing during the editing process.
All that to say that in 3D, you can be the most gifted animator, it's not enought to make something looks good. You also have to have at least the basics on all of these things and this I wanted to do. The good news is that now I feel confident about this and I hope it will bring my videos to next level content :)
