Although I love watching your reactions, this is one of a few episodes that I seldom want to watch. I'm not sure why, but I guess part of it is because I'm just not into the Gunn/Fred relationship. Truthfully I just started to mute any scenes of them together. Like you said though, it is an interesting story. Trading your future just so you can be happy now.

I understand Fred’s reaction a little. She has a different understanding of her and Wesley’s relationship. She considers them friends and doesn’t understand why he didn’t come to her. He is in love with her and felt he couldn’t go to her because he felt isolated from the group due to Fred and Gunn’s relationship. (Hopefully that made sense)! Also, I think if Cordelia had been there prior, none of this would have happened. As you said, she empathizes with others. I believe she would have noticed Wes struggling and gotten him to confide in her.
