Great reaction as always but it seemed like maybe you missed the real tragedy at the end. And it’s that reversal of fate that really elevated this episode beyond just another cliche quest story.

I've read that Julie Benz had never really sung on camera before; and she's talked about how nervous she was, but Tim Minear convinced her (or insisted) she sing it herself, rather than someone else be dubbed over her. But it's so damned good! I would love to have a complete recording of her rendition, without the dialog over it. Honestly, is there anything sexier than a woman singing some sultry jazz?
