Despite what the thumbnail might look like this time... I am not a rockstar.

But also... Absolutely no comments about this episode. None. JUST FEELS. Bangel reunion again when? Cause I already miss them.

Superb reaction to a superb episode. It's such a painful one, but I absolutely loved it the first time I watched it. Honestly, I was so angry when they had Faith go bad in season 3. It seemed like such a raw deal for her. Her life was absolute garbage before she became the slayer, it was the one really good thing she had in life. Then Buffy and her just kept missing connecting on any great level through poor timing (stupid writers). Then, she even loses that by turning dark. So, when this episode comes along and she finally gets back on track, I was so happy. I mean she's in prison, which isn't great, but like you pointed out, that smile is everything. She's managed to, maybe not find peace, but a path to peace. Too bad they had to write Buffy as being so confrontational. I kind of get it, but it always felt out of character for Buffy to me. Anyways, I'm so glad you loved it.

I go back and forth about Buffy's attitude in this episode. On the one hand she has every right to be angry, and the way she walked in on Angel and Faith hugging has to be hard. On the other I agree with you that it feels very sudden and somewhat out of character. This Year's Girl ended with a very pensive look on Buffy's face - hurt, yes, but also apparently thinking about Faith's words and what that would mean for Faith.

Faith has done some horrible stuff to Buffy and Buffy has every reason to be resentful of her but I still wish she reacted differently. As rough as that last scene with Buffy and Angel was and I hate that Buffy rubbed Riley in Angel's face, that's still coming from love from Buffy. She tried to hurt him because she still loves him and he's been trying to look out for Faith. These two people still love each other and that brutal scene enforced that to me... Now my Bangel loves aside, I was just so proud of Faith! I love her character and it was really something to see her turn herself in. She made her decision to do better.
