Such a hard episode with such big ramifications for the future of our favorite crew. Love the reaction, especially that mad prediction in the beginning about Veruca. Of course, sadly I might state, the predictions kind of went off the rails each time you predicted they would stay together. Still, I think that was denial kicking in more than valid predictions, so we'll ignore them. It seems like a rough ending, but in shows like this, drama is a great driver for change. The whole dynamic of the group will surely be affected. Add to the mix Spike, and we have an interesting future to look forward to. So at least we can console ourselves a little despite the horror that is watching tears spill down poor Willow's face. That is something that is NOT easy to watch. Also, my two cents on Oz. I think they were trying to setup a state of mind for this type of scenario for a while. They have eluded to the fact that the wolf wasn't just restricted to the three nights around the full moon before. When he was able to track Willow down by her scent in Lover's walk, even knowing she was afraid from blocks away, we got a hint that more was going on with Oz. I think he was ignoring the warning signs that the wolf side of him was encroaching on him personally because he was leading such an ideal life. He had his band, a great group of friends, and of course Willow. I think his passion to help them so much was partly driven by the fact that he felt the wolf more and more and it kind of scared him. Like, as long as he kept doing good things, he would stay good. I don't think his attraction to Veruca was what affected him the most. I think it was the power behind it that made him realize that his complacency had allowed the wolf to sneak in and steal more control over him that he wanted to believe. If his compulsion to seek out Veruca was so strong that Willow faded behind it, how much control did he really have to stop the wolf from killing? Especially when you combine those thoughts, how much resistance could he put up against it if it ever decided to kill Willow? I also think he didn't tell anyone as he was pretty sure that Veruca would die and he was trying to work out a way for her not to. As soon as he would have told Buffy about her, the decision would have moved to Buffy. With Veruca's attitude, he was fairly sure Buffy would have had to end up killing her. In any event, it was a your screwed any which way you go type of situation. Now all we can do is hope everyone supports Willow through this painful time. Plus think of all the ways Spike may reenter and mess things up.

Oh man, your accurate, but heart breakingly accurate predictions 😭 I do think that the way Oz behaved is in character. His ONE flaw is that he doesn't ask for help and here it rears its ugly head. There were SO MANY opportunities to tell somebody. Even if he couldn't tell Willow...or Buffy, go talk to Giles. Jeez man!!!!! However, I don't think I'm as angry at him as many people seem to be. I think a lot of it is the werewolf attraction. Plus, I do think that all the guys are a bit unnaturally interested in her - otherwise why put that line of Giles' in. He's also been terrified of the wolf for a while now. I feel like this would NEVER have happened if she was just some girl. BUT the fact he continued to lie to Willow is BAD, like you said, gaslighting. I think going away to sort himself out MIGHT be for the best. He needs to get himself under control and work out who he is and I don't think he can do that in Sunnydale. Remember, he KILLED Veruca. I know she was a terrible person but still, that has to shake him. I think the only other time was in The Zeppo but I don't think he knows about that. This time he must know even if he can't remember. Other stuff - poor Giles at the Bronze, so awkward lol And Buffy is super bright, too few people give her credit for that! Also, I noticed Willow had a toasting fork in her magical supplies, which made me laugh, I have one of those :D Willow....OMG, 😭but then that spell 😲and Willow and Oz were SO CUTE at the beginning...we should have guess something horrendous was about to happen! That bit at the end with Buffy and Giles, and Buffy says how she doesn't know how Willow will deal and Giles takes his glasses off, and moves so Buffy can't see him as well, and his voice is rough and a bit choked and I JUST KNOW he's thinking about Jenny 😭
