I have a different take on fan fiction than some others. I agree with Stewart that the majority of fan fiction is not very good and many are unfinished and abandoned. (which is true of fanfics in general). This doesn't even touch on the ones that are just raunchy. Having said that there are also some really amazing fan written stories out there. The real problem with them is the potential for spoilers, especially if it's not clear exactly where in the timeline the story takes place so you have to be careful if you haven't already finished the series.

Yeah I think the way my brain immediately went to the raunchy ones says far more about what the internet's done to my brain over the past 20+ years. :)

How are you viewing Season 4 of Buffy, and seasson 1 of Angel. Are you following a viewing Guide like your friend Alley Box (great drunken re watch BTW) ? Or are you doing aired order which would be one episode of Buffy followed by one episode of Angel? Both should keep the crossover episodes ( stories that go across the two shows, starting in one and ending in the other) . What you should not do is watch one full season of one show followed by a full season of the other. If someone has already told you this I apologise I am new, and stil working through your back catalogue, so I have not been in the discussion.
