Day 8/7... Say what?! I'm on a freaking roll so I thought, why not? I was saving this video for tomorrow but I feel mean, I've already made you guys wait enough, so here you go ;)

Me in the beginning of the video: Guys, I gotta be very careful with my movements because of my stitches and all

Me in the end of the video: *falls off my chair for absolutely no reason*

The cruel things Angelus said to Buffy....it's not what Angel felt deep down because he reached true happiness as you realised later...however I do think that is what the demon is thinking because a demon cannot love. I don't see Angel's situation as a split personality in the way a human would experience it because I do not think Angelus (the demon) is a part of Angel (the soul). I see them as two different spirits residing in one body. The reason why is gets complicated for Angel is because he shares the body and therefore the demon spirit, even while suppressed, that still lives in him and the memory of Angelus' crimes haunt him so he feels the demon is a part of him which it is not....as we see here the soul is gone completely from the body. If they were one in the same Angelus would have been partly burned by the Judge which he was not.

I love this episode, but I have to say that it plays very, very differently when you know that there's a sequel show called "Angel" than it did back when it first aired. On some level, I'm a bit sad to see the degree of surety in the minds of current day reactors to the idea that of *course* good Angel is gonna come back eventually! At the time, I don't remember anyone feeling absolutely positive that he would, especially given the extent to which the first half sets this two-parter up as Angel's death episode. It was a topic of fierce debate in my household, IIRC.
