This was a bit of a bucket-list-turned-wtf moment for my bouzouki playing friend Patrick, who was asked to do a song and figured, when in Rome (read: Galway) might as well sing Galway Girl. He didn't realize at the time that the banjo player sitting near him was in fact Mary Shannon, sister of Sharon who wrote this song with Steve Earle. And when I told him he said he was glad he didn't know that at the time or he'd have been far too nervous.
