Race had nothing to do with it, The DA said the reason Huell has a prior conviction the others didn't. Gus, what a gangster move on his "business partner" Hector. One gets the feeling a cool breeze is flowing in between Jimmy and Kim. Jimmy putting Kim's partner Rich on the spot about the Co. retreat sure didn't .help On the piece of equipment in the lab hole. It dug it's way down the trick is how do you get it out without taking it apart. It's a shame nothing happened in this episode :) Take care

The song in the opening is "Something Stupid" by Lola Marsh. The original was by Frank and Nancy Sinatra but it didn't fit for multiple reasons. It was a whole process finding the right fit to record the song. The song they played when they were going to work on the lab was "Big Rock Candy Mountain" by Burl Ives. It is fitting too because they used rock candy to make the meth in Breaking Bad. I love that you noticed that Deborah Chow directed this episode! Worth watching for the opening alone. It is a shame that she only got to direct one episode of BCS but she was very involved with the whole process. I really hope she does more work like this in the future because she was incredible here.

Well, a DA is not going to literally admit to being racist and they wouldn't write that in the show anyway. It just came to my mind because of the very real and ongoing thing about how criminal punishments are handled differently depending on race, especially in the US. Yeah Jimmy doing that with Rich was kinda uncalled for, it was fine at first but then typical Jimmy just kept making it more extravagant and pushy.
