Hey everyone! Thanks to September having five Fridays, that means five movies!

  • Sept 1 - My Pick
  • Sept 15 - Mallrats, to continue the View Askewniverse
  • Sept 29 - August MotM pick, which is still a surprise right now

So that means there'll be two polls for the other two Fridays! Here's the first one. PICK THE SEQUEL! This poll will be up until end of day Friday in my timezone.

Thanks for voting! ✌️

PS. Far From Home edit is coming... so sorry for the delay on this one! I'm hoping we'll be good for tomorrow with it.

I would LOVEEEE to see Batman returns, that film is so wild lmaooo Also, just so you know, I am LOVING watching breaking bad with you at the moment haha, I don’t really have much to say which is why I don’t comment but trust me, im loving every moment of it, justice for Jessie man I feel so bad for him he literally has nobody to go to other than Hank who hates him ):

kaiielle

A lot of people on YouTube def want to see that one too haha! And no worries Sean, I had a feeling you were still watching. I feel the worst for Jesse as well. Poor guy has never deserved everything he's been through.

FYI (Star Trek 2 The Wrath of Khan) was 100 times better than Star Trek 1. In my opinion. Who has the best trilogy Star Wars??????

kaiielle

I haven't seen any Star Trek and have no plans to any time soon, so I won't be able to comment on this. 😅

Steve Mercier

Not really crazy about any of these to be honest...but I'll watch what you watch.

kaiielle

Totes fair! I've had some YT comments lately asking when I'm gonna continue some of the franchises I've started - so I figured with an extra Friday in the month, now is the best time to watch one!

I would be interested in seeing your reaction to all of these (although one, just barely). That said (and I may have mentioned this before), I really hope that if you ever get to Alien³, you watch the Workprint version, which on digital streaming/rental services is called the "Special Edition." It appears to be available on a couple of services in Canada. After a tormented production where David Fincher felt that the producers were getting in the way of what he wanted to do, he turned in his first edit and 20th Century Fox came back with an elaborate list of changes they wanted him to make. Instead of making them, he decided to leave the project, and the theatrical cut was edited without his input. To this day, he still doesn't really talk about the making of the movie. When they released it on home video, they restored that first rough cut as the closest thing to Fincher's vision, as he declined to be involved with the Blu-ray. Personally, I love that cut of the movie, possibly even more than Aliens (controversial opinion, I know). When I saw Batman Returns was on the poll I knew this was kind of a foregone conclusion, but it's nice to see T3 doing well also. I'm really excited about the possibility of that someday, at least as a Patreon exclusive, just because I think it's interesting.

Terminator 3, although not on par with the first 2, is a fun watch. All choices look fun, can't wait to see what wins.

Terminator 3 is the only film of these that is of interest. Some may say it was an unnecessary addition to the franchise, for me this film rounded up the first two, giving, for me, a satisfying ending to both one and two. I'll say more if it wins but it looks like Batman is in the lead right now. I'm fairly certain I've seen Batman Returns but I remember none of it so I guess it made little impression on me :) Alien 3 's not doing well and, having seen it I can understand why... ;) Anyway, enjoy the movie (whichever wins) and I probably will watch along with you.

Terminator Genisys was a better and more satisfying ending to the first two.
