Hey Insiders! A post just for you, because I am spending some time planning out the rest of my August and September. As you all know, this upcoming week and a bit is gonna be huge here as I'll be wrapping up and posting the rest of Breaking Bad, all of The Book of Boba Fett, and all of Mando Season 3. I will eventually watch and record Star Wars Visions for y'all, but with Ahsoka releasing I'm just gonna hold off on that for a little bit. Speaking of Ahsoka, that's a show for all tiers as I'll be editing it for the channel.

Next week, I will drop the full-length watchalong for El Camino and then start Better Call Saul immediately after that. Better Call Saul will release on a 2-3 episodes per week schedule until it's done.

Alright, let's talk MCU exclusives

For all the movies and shows that are officially part of the Phases and with most of them going on the channel, I am gonna stick to the release order. But I've been thinking of going into these other MCU series in a chronological order - not unlike my approach with Star Wars, to be honest.

The reasons that I want to follow a chronological order:

  • To avoid confusion about where exactly these take place in the timeline relative to the films/Phases. Even if some of these shows don't tie directly into the films, following this order can be a bit of a help for my brain
  • To avoid me watching two massive shows at the same time for months (BCS and AOS), since there may be some of you who have no interest in either show
  • To provide more MCU variety for both myself and y'all

I grabbed the below list from this page. Don't worry, I didn't read any paragraphs, just looked at the lists. The only thing I changed was putting Agents of SHIELD S7 at the end instead of starting with it, because I don't like the idea of starting with the last season of a show.

  • Agent Carter: S1+S2
  • Agents of SHIELD S1
  • Daredevil S1
  • Agents of SHIELD S2
  • Jessica Jones S1
  • Daredevil S2
  • Luke Cage S1
  • Agents of SHIELD S3+S4
  • Iron Fist S1
  • The Defenders
  • The Punisher S1
  • Agents of SHIELD S5
  • Jessica Jones S2
  • Inhumans S1
  • Luke Cage S2
  • Iron Fist S2
  • Daredevil S3
  • The Punisher S2
  • Jessica Jones S3
  • Runaways S1+S2
  • Cloak and Dagger S1+S2
  • Runaways S3
  • Agents of SHIELD S5+S6+S7

Now, there is a show called Helstrom that I notice isn't in the list from that link, but is on the Wiki under Marvel Television. Not sure where exactly this show takes place, but for those of you who have seen it maybe you can let me know.

For those of you who intend to stick around and re-watch these shows with me (or maybe for some of you it will be a first watch), would it be fun doing it this way? Have any of you watched the shows in this order before?

Like Star Wars, I'll be with Marvel stuff for quite a bit here on Patreon (and still on the channel). And while this list feels like a lot, so did all the Star Wars shows when I first jumped into Clone Wars and now I'm nearly done it all. And I'm like damn, where'd the time go?

Let me know your thoughts!

I love watching u do Star Wars stuff. I love your reaction. Don’t know how u didn’t cry. I cried like a baby, when I seen Luke get the respect as a powerful Jedi. Plus Grogu leaving. When we watched it we had to wait a week for each episode. I guess that makes it hit a little harder.

There's a few reasons that I think attributes to my lack of tears. Keep in mind that various things are gonna hit people differently and just because tears don't flow, doesn't mean they're not invested in it. And sometimes tears flow from me even after only knowing a character for 20 mins. 1. I knew that a post-ROTJ/pre-sequels Luke appears at some point, just didn't know exactly which show(s) and when. So going into the finale, I had a good feeling he was going to show up. So being loosely spoiled on a Luke appearance thanks to social media def impacted my reaction to seeing him. Is the finale epic? Of course. Did it hit me hard emotionally? Not really. 2. It's my understanding that the S2 finale of Mando was the first appearance of young Luke since 1983, so for those of you that have spent decades with Star Wars, this would obviously hit y'all a lot harder. 3. Grogu leaving didn't really hit me emotionally because my logical side overrides. To me, it makes complete sense that he would go with Luke to be trained and not stay with Mando. It's sad, of course, and the scene was really sweet with Mando taking his helmet off and Grogu touching his chin/cheek, but just didn't trigger the tears for me. 4. Your point about watching the show so quick definitely makes a difference. I spent 6 months watching The Clone Wars so the emotional hits in that show really hit. I think rewatches of The Mandalorian are gonna hit me much harder, and possibly give me a different view depending on what happens in The Book of Boba Fett, S3 Mando, and now Ahsoka releasing next week. Only time will tell, though! I have watched some other YouTubers reactions to S1 and S2 of The Mandalorian and experiencing the joy of people who have been with this franchise much longer than I have is a treat for me.
