Hey everyone! It feels like it's been a long time since I've been on here, even though it was only a few days LOL. Anyway, here's the watchalong for Constantine! This movie didn't feel like 2 hours long, that's for sure, it flew by! I hope you enjoy watching with me! 😊

Finally took the time to rewatch/watch your reaction. You did a great job following the “world building” as they drew heavily from Catholic doctrine. If you haven’t had exposure to religious history or groups a lot of supernatural horror type movies will be an interesting experience for you. I was raised Catholic and walked away from the church at 18, never went back. The Catholic beliefs specifically lend themselves nicely to any supernatural story or battle with the devil/Satan. Bear with me, I haven’t given this a lot of thought in a while or tried to explain it off the cuff.The story goes Lucifer was God’s favorite angel who was jealous of humanity. He led a revolt against God in Heaven and he and the angels with sided with him were cast out. Being sent to Hell is someplace you can’t feel God. Usually described as a fiery plain. While I stopped going to church I accept there is more to this world than we can comprehend. I grew up in a haunted house. I saw things, had experiences over my life that prove something exists. Stories like this, when we’ll written get my attention. I have never read the comic but I enjoyed the movie and am glad you got something out of it. I also didn’t know there was a post credits scene, so first time watch for me. Thanks KL. It was good fun watching you take it all in.

I never realized just how much innate knowledge I had regarding the catholic faith just from having semi-religious parents growing up! 😅 So many things in this movie made absolutely no sense to you, that were just gimme's for me. That was kinda fun to watch actually! 😂 Assuming that he ATE A CIGARETTE, instead of just realizing that that was nicotine gum... That's on you though. 🤣

The scene happened so fast that I only saw white and just assumed it was a cig hahaha. My brain was like "Welp, I guess eating tobacco still gives the effects without damaging the lungs?!" 😂😂
