Hi everyone! My reaction to the first two episodes of Season 3 have now dropped. They are in one video again since this is a Part One/Part Two.

Please enjoy! And I am wishing you all a great week ahead.

Cheers,

I'm excited for your reaction to Thrawn, he's one of my favorites of the Imperial villains. Definitely finish rebels first before reading any of the Thrawn trilogies. I do agree with reading the canon Thrawn trilogy first as reading the Ascendancy trilogy first spoils details about the Thrawn trilogy. Then there's the original 90s Thrawn trilogy and (I'm surprised no one here's mentioned it) Outbound Flight which is a prequel to both the 90s Thrawn trilogy (and should be read after those) and another Zahn book Survivor's Quest which focuses on the aftereffects of some of Outbound Flight. It'd be interesting to hear your thoughts on any of the Thrawn trilogies though as I don't see many reactions to that asides from one incomplete reaction to the voiced version of the comic version of the first of the new canon Thrawn novels.

A lot of people have given you a lot of information, so I'll try not to repeat it. Although I haven't read the novels myself, having Thrawn introduced into canon was a big deal for those who loved him in Legends. A small fact that I don't think anyone has mentioned yet is that General Dodonna who is mentioned at the end first appeared in A New Hope, he is the one giving the briefing on how to destroy the death star. After a long time being curious and hearing a lot about it, I am finally getting around to some Star Wars material in written form (till now only movies, videogames and series),, reading the legends comic series Dawn of the Jedi, which is set even before the Republic was formed, centered around the Jed'aii order, which is the precursor to both the Jedi and Sith. In those Legends comics, the bendu are one of the force-sensitive species that were chosen by the force to start the Jed'aii order, and Ashla and Bogan are the two moons of Tython, the planet that was home to the Jed'aii order. Ashla represented the light side and Bogan the Dark Side, and the Jed'aii were all about balancing the Light and the Dark, just like the Rebels Bendu says he is in the middle. I thought those are interesting connections.
